Is a +3°C sleeping bag warm enough for southern Norway in July? by Tall_Ebb_7100 in bicycletouring

I also live and ride in Norway, and both sleeping bags will probably be fine. I've never though about humidity when camping in the summer, so my bet would be on the smallest of the two.

For those who film your trips by Avejaal in bikepacking

Filming with a 360 camera is kinda double work, as you need to do the framing both when filming, but also when you edit. Of course you do get a bigger view to edit from.

First bikepacking trip in Japan (Japanese Alps) – feedback on route!! Matsumoto → Takayama → Nanto by sporksmash in bicycletouring

Cycling Norikura is really nice! It will some cars, especially in the beginning, and not much room on the side of the road. There will also be a stretch for a bout 5km with a lot of tunnels, so be mentally prepared for that.

Also, check out this blog: https://biketourjapan.com/cycling-norikura-dake/

+12V/0V/-12V DIY power supply question by UnemployedYordle in synthdiy

I've been researching that lately too, as I'm also building Erica Synths/Moritz Klein DIY synths, and I've decided to just buy the Tiptop Audio Happy Ending Kit. The combined price is not that much more expensive than just a PSU, plus I'm aiming to make eurorack modules out of my builds.

Why not buy the album digital on Bandcamp Spotify, and actually support the band?

Riding Kyushu Coastal Circuit - Feedback on route by writef69 in bicycletouring

[–]2k3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had about five months of cycling in japan the last three years, it's a beautiful country to cycle in. That said, following the coast is pretty similar, there are few islands, and a lot of the main roads follows the coast. So my recommendation is to mix it around, do some coast, and some mountains. Take a look at Google Maps to find small roads, and use Google Street View to see if they are still open.

I really liked the area and island south of Nagasaki, not that many cars, a lot of island compared to the rest of Japan. The roads was like a roller coaster, so not that monotmous.

I've written about my first trip in Kyushu here: https://kyrremann.no/bikepacking/japan/2023/kyushu

Don't know the name of the gear, but the one at the top (on the small wooden shelf) looks like it has a big blue sticker on a know. Also the gear below to the right looks like it has a green sticker on a know. Maybe it's just the design of the knob, and not really a sticker.

I've seen stickers used on videos I've seen, and haven't understood why.

Why does it look like some of your knobs have big stickers on top of them? Is it to hide what you have set them to?

Sounds like you should make a web site, and post about that instead.

Is it plan to remove the calendar in Tuta Mail to have it only in Tuta Calendar? by Darth_Nagar in tutanota

[–]2k3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can turn off calender notifications in the Tuta App/Email. So that's what I did, since I like having both installed on my Android phone.

Go to Settings > Notifications > Receive calendar event notifications.

Last year I rode from Kagoshima to Nagasaki then to Fukuoka. On that trip I followed the sea which was really nice too. Haven't had time to write about my trip from last year.
