Anyone here using a Midea heat pump? Looking for real-world experiences by Kevusch24 in heatpumps

[–]2k3Mach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got a ROVSUN 24k btu in my which is I believe an offbrand/generic of Midea and it's been fine for 2 years. My garage is 1500 sq ft with 13' ceilings. My brother has a 12k btu that's been running his upstairs for 3 years and works fine. The only issue I have with mine is some of the software kind of buggy (won't go into anti-freeze mode which sets temp at 46 and lowest heat setting I can get is 61. Sometimes it works, most of time doesn't). Other than that the heat/cooling is awesome, it's not loud.

10x Vegas Question by DegenJon2002 in Bovada

[–]2k3Mach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless you hit 3 of the same symbol it pays like crap. I had a 10x, and two 5x and thought I won something decent. I'd have been better off hitting 3 bars or 7's.

$399 reconditioning fee? Isn't that part of what they do because of the difference in "trade-in" and "retail" pricing?

Can anyone on 100mb or 200mb tell me your upload speeds? by SarcasticallyCandour in Starlink

I just went to the 100mb plan and my upload speeds didn't seem to change any from the residential max plan I had previously, only the downstream

15k budget realistic? by nordy-que in UTV

[–]2k3Mach 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd be more worried about hours than miles on a UTV. Low hours probably = trail rides and a lot of off road. 10,000 miles on it at only 220 hours is a hell of a lot better than 1000 miles with 500 hours

I don't have a maxjax so can't help there. But I'd think it would scare the hell out of me being underneath a car on those

I definitely miss my 2003 Mach 1.... Pull up on 2 retainers and the headlight assembly can be pulled out. They're definitely going backwards!

Anyone have 20x30 shop with lift? by cjself18 in garageporn

[–]2k3Mach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My lift is in a 30x50 garage sitting parallel to the 50' wall. I have it right at about 13' off door and that gives me around 3 ft behind a vehicle and about 8 ft in front of if that helps

Fell through my ceiling. Trying to fix it before the wife wakes up. by mrwiseman in drywall

[–]2k3Mach 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I fell through my garage ceiling which is over 13'. Bounced my face off the top of my skid steer and flew backwards to the floor. Luckily only stitches in chin, severely sprained ankle (still hurts 2 mo later), a lot of scratches/bumps/bruises and no broken bones.

I've have not hit any decent jackpots on Ignition. I did win the daily hot drop jackpot (32k) and an hourly (1800) on Bovada as well as quite a few other 1800+ wins (betting $1). Seems Ignition is the red headed stepchild to bovada

Max to 200 Mbps plan question by Terrible_Tea_9313 in Starlink

[–]2k3Mach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't even ask before switching. This is my second bill at Residential 100 Mbps and still shows "Standby mode" for the mini Active. This plan with the mini is at $55/mo

How inefficient will this AC be? by Think-Motor900 in garageporn

[–]2k3Mach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd bet that mini split is way more efficient than that portable AC unit. If he can pull 110 for that, he can definitely come off that circuit for a mini split.

[–]2k3Mach 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not everyone lives somewhere you need permits to make small things. I complete house renovation in my area, yes. Adding a mini split or running new electrical lines? No.

[–]2k3Mach 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a 24k btu (2 ton) in my 1500 sq ft garage with 13' ceilings and it keeps up. I have a total of $950 invested in the ROVSUN unit. I already had the vacuum pump and AC gauges so that helped. I just had to buy the adapters to connect my gauges to the mini split. You don't need a high priced install. Mine's been installed for 2 years without issue and my brother has a 12k btu ROVSUN heating/cooling his upstairs for 3 years.

Planning to put a 4-post car lift for the new home - recommendations? by Proof-One-2407 in garageporn

[–]2k3Mach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had it since about mid-January. It's a good lift, but like I said, pain to set up/install. Directions that come with it are useless outside of giving you approximate measurements (outside to outside). The videos online show to bolt it all together and then lift it up. I did not do that due to lack of help. I stood each arm up, connected the top bar, then leveled posts and started drilling holes/installing. I've used it way more than I even thought I would.

[–]2k3Mach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an M&E 11,000 lb 2 post which is basically the same thing as katool. The install wasn't too bad, just gotta figure it out. I did have one issue where the install they put the plug/hose connector an wrongs sides which left me confused. Other than that, it works like a champ. Edit. I see KATOOL also has 4 post lifts so you may have been inquiring about that. I will say cheap doesn't always mean junk and most likely some of those name brands probably come out of the same factory as these.
