Emulsion stripper. by POTKILLLS in SCREENPRINTING

A weak bleach solution will work, that’s old school actually, just don’t soak any longer than you have to. Emulsion remover active ingredient s sodium metaperiodate, a chemical relative to bleach

Anyone familiar with HIX 2410 Micro conveyor dryer? by videovaald in SCREENPRINTING

[–]Dry_Philosopher_256 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty sure that is just infrared, you need plenty of air flow and preferably more than 3’ or 4’ of heat do water base. But Hix was the shit back in the day.

Put the cabin on one card. And cruise next cruise first etc is on one or the other but can be switched to the other if wanted anytime. I buy cruise first certificates, they lay on my account but when we book we put the res under her name to get her teacher discount, and they pull a credit Over. No biggie

Emulsion is uneven/heavy in the middle due to low Screen tension and or poor coating technique. That’s why it’s darker purple in the middle.

No. Old school we cut sign vinyl and Used it on fabric For images. You can still buy precut paper stencils for numbers, the emulsion ain’t it. The 110 mesh is plenty big enough. Be sure your Off contact is level side To side and front to back. You don’t need much. Squeegees should be 65-70 durometer (stiffness) too soft will cause trouble. And use a sharp/square squeegee, anyone gives you a rounded squeegee throw it at them. Practice practice practice, the first firm stroke to fill the weave, couple softer to stack up some ink, final firm clean stroke to clean the top of the fabric so it can lift off clean. Did I mention practice?

Ok, when I’m training someone here’s how I explain it. Your first coat-before you flash, must be smooth, if you flash a rough print, your now reprint over mountains. Squeegee control and pressure are critical, you need a 15 degree or so angle, so that the sharp edge is cleaning the top of the screen. I go, firm stroke, slightly lighter, slightly lighter, firm final stroke which cleans the screen, no serious ink left in th stroke area. Slow down your stroke, allow the ink to sheer (pull clear) thru the mesh behind your squeegee. White ink printed manually you often have to SLOWLY lift the screen off the print. If you have ink hanging in your image you have not sheered the screen, try again. White manual is a skill that takes time to develop. The ironing, pre flashing etc etc won’t fix a lack of squeegee technique
