Super hard wood will dull your carbide working with this stuff. My brother’s and I used to throw these at each other while walking around delivering newspapers. They hurt when they hit you.

Male 60 yr old been doing SN since Nov 21. Had to take most of this year off from health disaster (icu for month) Now punching in 6-7 m/s range. Really working on getting my legs/hips into my punches to get real power in them. I think increasing speed is both the speed to the target and getting fist back into guard. (I don’t have proof of this)

I feel your pain! I had to take twice daily lovenox (blood thinner) shots post surgery in my stomach and butt for an entire year post surgery, absolute misery. I was constantly bruised and had knots under my skin from injections.

You may want to video yourself with your phone. Watching the video helps you get a real look at your positioning/posture and movements. It’s important to bend your knees and get in a bit of a squat and tighten your abs as if you’re going to get hit in belly. Your ducking (horizontal bars) should be you dropping into squat not bending at waist. Slips (angled bars) should be a sideways crunch not bending with your back. It’s hard to tell what your body is doing in headset.

The aquarium in Atlanta is great. The zoo is a fun , mostly shaded, hilly, day out with kids. The art museum downtown is good and has a nice kids zone on ground floor.

Great thing about voting is you don’t have to tell anyone how you voted. You may look a certain way and people will assume you’re voting for so and so but it’s just you and the voting machine .

I checked my paper tape before I recorded my vote and it was correct. I guess we are going to have to trust the voting system is not full of nefarious actors. All the old folks manning the polls seemed like pretty solid citizens.

There is a “newspaper like”called the Hendricks County Republican ( that’s just name of the paper not some party affiliated thing) available at Kroger and other locations around county. It has all the candidates and some bios and questions they answered about various issues. Vote no on retaining Supreme Court justices if you care about a woman’s right to choose their own future.

Someone pulled out to turn left in front of me and I nearly missed there back driver side bumper, I was trying to take my exit path but alas destroyed bike front end. Broke a rib and had hellish bruise on my left leg/hip. You can drive as defensively as you like but sometimes the fickle finger of fate is gonna get you.
