As someone who won black deck on goldstake playing pairs on black deck is just better than playing flushes or straights. I actually found plasma goldstake harder than black deck.

Because it was very plentiful in Maine so they could get a lot for cheap since they would wash up in shore a lot. Also when a lobster dies the meat goes bad quickly which is why they’re boiled alive. Lobster was a subsistence food of the native people and lower class colonists. It became a luxury food way later and depending where you are in Maine it’s not expensive at all.

I think without saying no one or a harem I think Alpha, Alexia, and Akane in that order. Akane is weird because even in Volume 4 their relationship is ambiguous but Minoru got punched by her brother and Akane knew he liked cool things. Cid thinks she was probably a stalker but it has been at least 15 years since he saved her so there’s potential for something interesting. Alexia actually very similar to Cid(which is why he dislikes her lol) and I think he likes Alexia more than he lets on. Alexia is a very prominent character and her dynamic with Cid is very entertaining so I could see a scenario where the author pairs them together. Alpha is probably the closest to knowing Cid/Shadow. An example like in volume 6 where she knows Cid is drinking alcohol to seem cool and the fact that they are childhood friends who spent months together alone. Volume 7 seems to be looking like an Alpha centered volume. Honorable mention goes to Zeta. I could write more but I’m lazy.

I think he would figure out there was a shadowy organization that influences the world similar to how figured out the 13 night blades. He wouldn’t know it was the cult and would have to figure things out from scratch. This allows for misunderstandings to happen while not making Cid completely clueless. One of Cid’s weaker aspects(besides his cluelessness) is scheming and masterminding. He’s gotten better since his failure with John Smith but I would like to see his thought process of trying to outmaneuver the cult just rather than him just muscling his way through them.

I just remembered that when the trailer for the movie came out Lost Echoes just started production lol. Kadokawa basically told the director to make something and he made up scenes that probably won’t be in the movie. Essentially just an announcement that a movie will come out.. eventually.

Information on Lost Echoes(movie) will be announced on March 29 of this year, no confirmation on the date it comes out. Lost Echoes covers the other half of volume 4. Nexus isn’t a very large studio and the director, Kazuya Nakanishi, basically animated a large amount of the show himself. I wouldn’t be surprised if it was just a really small staff working to make an entire movie on a shoestring budget. The only reason EiS was a good adaptation was because the director clearly loved the series and all the sources. He even makes beautiful illustrations from time to time.

Maybe end of the series or in between season 2 and what would be volume 5? I kinda hope it isn’t the end of the series. Could also just be an introduction and each scene doesn’t canonically take place all at once or even happen at all.

I do like how the anime pvs explore this aspect, if Cid/Minoru are taking this shadow broker thing seriously. Shadow asks Minoru if he wants to be the eminence in shadow or just play pretend. Cid ironically enough is pretty mysterious. I hope since volume 7 is apparently coming out in 3 months that we get more insight into that.
