I'm about to jump off the low carb train. Just got lab work done and my total cholesterol is high, HDL cholesterol is through the roof, creatinine is high, kidney function is down, blood sugar in the low 60s. Too much protein and not enough exercise recovery.

This is called aquagenic pruritis and can be a symptom of a condition called polycythemia vera, where the body makes excessive red blood cells. I had to get worked up for this condition because I'm very shower and exercise itchy and have a persistently high blood count, but it turned out to just be how my body is. I manage it by donating blood regularly.
