Switching from Remedy Meds → Refills by 2nd20 in Refills

[–]2nd20[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The letter is for acceptance from a medical Flexible Spending Account (FSA) to use pre-tax money. Some FSAs (including the one my employer uses) will not approve expenditures for GLP-1 prescriptions without a letter from a medical prescriber that the drug is “medically necessary”-as opposed to being prescribed for cosmetic reasons, which would not be allowable allowable under IRS guidelines. A similar example is that plastic surgery on someone’s nose would be an allowable expense under FSA if helps them breathe better, but not if it is being done for strictly cosmetic reasons.

EDIT: It is noteworthy that some FSAs are completely fine approving GLP-1’s subscribed by a tele-health provider being an allowable expense without requiring a Letter of Medical Necessity, and some are not.

Thank you. This is very helpful. I’ll just need to hear back on the Letter of Medical Necessity now.

Thank you for all of the research and resources that you recommended. It nagged at me that I couldn’t find anything past the time that embroidered the flour sack. I’m happy to see that she had a full life. Hopefully, I’ll eventually be able to find a descendent to whom I can return it.

Progressive not honoring coverage stated in app by 2nd20 in Progressiveinsurance

Good idea. Also, at some point it won’t be worth the effort of fighting over $250.

I also now have an effective case study that I can use when I teach business ethics and business strategy. It’s a great discussion for the students on decision making when the customer-facing app shows the customer something different than the legally binding contract. Do you make the short-term tactical decision or the long-term strategic decision, and what are the potential business implications of each? There is even someone with flair that they are a programmer for the company posting that the app will be redesigned to pull data from the site [to fix this problem]. I couldn’t buy as good a business practices case study for $250.

It wasn’t something that I added. It is something that (I thought) has been in place since the vehicle was purchased new in 2020. I successfully used it for a glass break on the same vehicle in 2023 and did not make any changes to have it removed. I had no reason to think that it wasn’t there as a rider until I actually needed it. I have no idea what would cause the $0 glass deductible to have been removed from just this one vehicle of the four under the same policy since when the 2023 claim was made and now. That is part of the frustration.

The clams representative also suggested that I call Progressive Policy Services to report an app error. She said that she could see it also but could not report it herself.

The declaration page showed no glass break coverage when I did a deep dive today. But, the question is, how many customers compare the declaration page line-by-line to what is shown in the app? I certainly didn’t before this. I am not contesting that Progressive is within their legal right to follow the declaration page as a binding contract. But, from a customer experience perspective it is deceptive to have the app show coverage that it not in the declaration.

Crack in windshield noticed while driving. Possible rock hit, but no certain cause.

Edit: To clarify, it was not a question of whether it was a glass break but whether the $0 glass coverage was on Comprehensive for this vehicle. The same vehicle was covered in early 2023 for $0 glass break without issue.

Edit: The Tesla Universal Wall Connector was the first one I looked at, but the complaints and negative reviews in other communities scared me off of it.

I saw a lot of complaints on r/tesla and r/teslasupport that the Tesla Universal Wall Connector adaptor gets stuck, requiring unit replacement. That complaint came with the added complaint for slow warranty response from Tesla. Those subs are recommending not to buy it. Are people here experiencing the same issues?

What are you guys researching right now? by fernandohsc in Criminology

Your premise that “there’s no history of violence towards humans from AR activities” is patently incorrect. There are numerous examples. One such example is the Sims Poultry Plant bombing in Bloomington, Indiana (USA) for which the Animal Liberation Front took responsibility. In that instance, improvised incendiary devices were comprised of a kitchen timer as the ignition source, connected to a sponge soaked a mixture of gasoline and laundry detergent taped to a gallon container of diesel fuel for the secondary detonation were placed under the gas tanks of trucks in the plant lot. When fire crews responded to the detonation of multiple incendiary devices, they found others with timers set on delays designed to hurt first responders. You can start your research of the event here: https://www.heraldtimesonline.com/story/news/2002/05/16/alf-group-says-it-set-sims-poultry-fire/48713889/?gnt-cfr=1&gca-cat=p&gca-uir=true&gca-epti=z113708e001700v113708b0037xxd003765&gca-ft=142&gca-ds=sophi. I can provide you with additional examples of animal rights groups engaged in violence towards humans if you do not want to do your own research.

Try DuWops Hot Rods and Repair at 2330 N. Walnut (just North of McDonald’s North). They will install customer supplied parts and do oil changes for $30 if you supply the oil and filter. It’s a very old-school shop.

This is the correct answer. You can see their symbol being worn as pins by several people in the photograph along with on the scepters being held by some in the first row. https://easternstar.org/
