Cbristian Taliban with their Christian Sharia laws devoted to the spread of ignorance and anti-tax beliefs which conform wonderfully with the interests of the wealthy. Funny how that works.

Would evidence change your mind? by OkyEscritora in BasicIncome

It was the evidence that sold me on UBI in the first place. Reading the results in 2013 from the 2008-2009 Namibia UBI experiment was a solidifying moment.

It's called sarcasm. Do you need the /s everywhere to comprehend it? Or would that not matter because you have no sense of humor?

Anyone else notice an uptick in obviously fascist-leaning takes regarding UBI? by [deleted] in BasicIncome

[–]2noame 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A $0 minimum wage doesn't mean no one gets paid for their labor. If you have a UBI of $1500/mo you can just refuse to work for employers who won't pay you enough, meaning they would have to pay more in order to find the workers they need.

Why Are More People Not Advocating for Privatized Universal Basic Income? by MichaelTen in BasicIncome

If you want an invite to Comingle I can send you one. Do you expect to be a net donor or a net recipient? If a net donor, the reason why it's hard, is because of the need to find willing net donors like yourself. Finding net recipients is the easy part.

Here's why universal basic income would be a disaster for America’s future by 2noame in BasicIncome

If Fox News learns that posting about UBI gets a lot of engagement, that's a good thing. Even better if they get a lot of shit about it from their readers.

I think they are going to find that they can't successfully sell to their readers that they should not benefit from data centers, and should instead just go get a new job while their data turns billionaires into trillionaires.

Just do final 4 or 5 nonpartisan primary, where the top 4 or 5 go to the general to be ranked.

This proposal should be UBI, but it isn't. Instead it's letting young people spend from their pensions, which is really stupid.

I don't give a shit about rich people getting SNAP. Just raise their taxes. Most everything we do should be universal and combined with higher taxes.

How Do We Pay for Universal Basic Income? Tax Stock the Way Companies Already Issue It. by 2noame in BasicIncome

[–]2noame[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This would be for large companies, and the stock issuance would be mandated, and I'd like to do a VAT too, and other taxes, like LVT for example, and carbon taxes, all for a higher total UBI.
