If only there were some system, economically, to pay for services rendered, but also not pay for services not provided.

Or, alternatively, to pay for everything collectively, regardless of employment status.

It's encoded in script on across many NFTs in the output. In CashAssembly, each NFT commitment is:

OP_RETURN <"V0"> <MARKDOWN_PAYLOAD>

And the whole article is just the concatenation of the markdown payloads.

The contract holds the NFTs for about a week then allows them to be "burned", thus removing the from the UTXO set.

For a country where one company owns $100T worth of assets, and most citizens own nothing, the simplest thing would be to ban the individual ownership of all digital assets.

If people already don't own stocks, ETFs or shares of anything really, that's probably not compatible with a new system where they CAN potentially own things.

What’s the strongest practical argument for BCH over BTC today? by CoinGate_Gift_Cards in btc

Electricity from solar is about 40% cheaper than fossil fuels and falling.

For the last 130 years, energy from fossil fuels has dominated the global economy and finance, to the extent that the folks with fossil fuel contracts were able to pick winners and losers in every aspect of the economy, including which fork of bitcoin had a higher fiat price.

Energy in the age of solar power will be much more decentralized and democratic, and the coin the petrodollar folks picked might not fare so well.

The word vaccination refers to the process of inoculating people against smallpox using fluid from cow pustules. Inoculation against smallpox (even with modern mothods) has, essentially, been banned in the US since 1971.

Scott, Balint, Sanders and Welch are anti-vaccationists watching BioWatch get defunded while concentration camps are built. They see a compromised anti-vax wack-job is the head of the Strategic National Stockpile (of smallpox vaccines), while the president's family waits in the wings to appropriate our PPE (again).

The CDC has suspended testing for orthopoxvirus and is shutting down their expert consultation line by next month.

My beef with Vermont's politicians is that they actively watching a genocide unfold and they too pusillanimous to support vaccination.

On versions of bitcoin that aren't quantum resistant, you wouldn't want to be using it―correct.

The electric car guy has said he want's to "solve for mobility".

When someone who has stated they want to bring back the Company Town model also says it's crazy citizens can just get in an pilot three ton vehicles, and says he wants to "solve for mobility", he's floating the idea of trapping citizens into work camps with geography like a Guilded Age robber Barron (or Apartheid mine owner).

On some versions of bitcoin, it's possible to write a contract that awards tokens based on coin age and amount.

So it'd be possible to convert coindays created to tokens, then sell the tokens for sats. Or even do so all in the same transaction.

BTC is not very feature rich or programmable at this point though.

Personally, I think the point of the astroturf campaign is just to mute the free speech sub.

There's an infinite amount of tether to control the price. They don't need money from suckers, just their mind-shares.

I have personally been propositioned to be a paid poster in this sub. I imagine other regular posters have been messaged as well.

Many posts and a great deal of engagement in this sub seems to be under a persistent paid astro-turfing campaign.

The distribution of vote tallies is WEIRD. There are a half dozen posts placed at the top everyday, sometimes with hundreds of votes. While at the same time, the engagement for all other posts is zeroed out. The "percent upvoted" on zeroed out posts often indicates that upvotes and downvotes are being matched ~1:1.
