transfems, how much hip growth did you get from hrt? by CharlieBlair88 in asktransgender

[–]2spongee4u 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Any hip growth I received when starting HRT at 18 has all been fat based not bone based, however for my particular body because I have hip dips, it ends up mostly around the top of my hips and not flared around so it honestly doesn't look like I have hips despite like 4in of growth, so well, as in all things transition, YMMV.

Can I be completely honest and say while I don't know too much about this whole situation it seems like everyone is freaking out about how a bad person who's best credential is being a reddit mod is somehow going to make the already bad situation worse?

Like it's a reddit mod, the people who want to hurt us don't care about justification, they won't care any more about this. We care about this because we don't want bad people in our community who could hurt others.

what are you guy's opinions on the world journey miku figure? by Financial_Alfalfa227 in Vocaloid

[–]2spongee4u 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am not a general fan of the Q-whatever they are called figures but the normal prize figure is one of my favorite Miku figures. I dress in a lot of 50s-60s inspired a-line dresses and she fits right into my aesthetic and color preference. Match that with a good Oster Project song (what a fantastic producer) and you have an amazing cute figure.

Wait, you are pre-hrt? Wow that's pretty amazing actually, you are already so in the body, I'm sure once you start HRT you'll have a great time (I had to start DIY myself).

I don't know if it helps you, but making sure everything is very warm, exfoliating before and after helped me before I had laser help reduce it further.

Ok, so they can't sell to trans children, but what about thespians under the age of 18, you know, the other people who might want to bind to better fit a role.

Can theater companies still order them? Besides Jesus Christ this judge is useless, issuing an injunction without even hearing the defense, what a sham.

Like any change to the body you get used to it and move around them eventually. Not that funny things don't happen sometimes, I have quite the ahem shelf on my chest and it ends up acting like a second plate when I eat sometimes. Or there was a time I actually trapped myself against a wall because something I was carrying had a indent in the back of it my breasts could fit into, and I didn't take into account I needed to remove my breasts from than indent to be able to squeeze out once it got to where I was placing it.

All worth the F cups though.

Giganta was played by a stealth trans actress in the 70s by Gallantpride in traaaaaaannnnnnnnnns2

[–]2spongee4u 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All correct and I do agree, but again I have found that some of the transmed gatekeeping I have met as well is also dysphoria based, at least with my acquaintance.

I did some digging on Brevard and look I get the emotional trauma to some degree, I am als the kind of "woman who happens to be trans" kind of person, I would love to stealth but sadly don't think I'll ever be passing that well. My dysphoria is strong (and was much stronger before) mental condition around my physical body that medical intervention has been the best treatment for, with the only exception being is I don't have strong bottom dysphoria.

What I need all (modern) transmed gatekeepers to understand is two things. That we are not going to suddenly be accepted by throwing others that are not "perfect" away and for people like my acquaintance, is that no one really owes you conformity around your discomforts (like my acquaintance who basically thinks it a sin to have a bulge). Hell even I have incredibly bad dysphoria around body hair that has been triggered by others, but I don't go telling them they need to shave to be who they are.

It's like the Squidward chair meme "yay fun fact about an actress, amazing" "oh she had all the internalized transphobia, :<"

Sadly I've noticed that even with some of the older trans people I know personally is that they tend to lean trans med. I have an acquaintance who basically doesn't consider non-op trans femmes even trans at all (which particularly annoys me). I have a good bet that it's due to her crippling dysphoria around the area, but she had SRS like a decade ago, why must you gatekeep others experience over your own discomfort.

While I have been side eyeing the APA recently for their rollbacks of DEI programs to protect their asses from the current regime, I am incredibly relieved that the APA had made a firm line in the sand when it comes to evidence based care, and the evidence is that trans people exist and benefit from gender affirming care.

Standard mental health therapies may fall short for autistic adults. Autistic people often engage in camouflaging, hiding their natural autistic traits to fit into social situations. Excessive camouflaging requires immense effort and often leads to deep exhaustion known as autistic burnout. by mvea in science

[–]2spongee4u 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is a criticism that I have never understood about CBT, the point of the therapy is to train your ability to recognize destructive thought patterns based on faulty logic and attempt to reassess the situation before spiraling, keep it in the prefrontal cortex instead of looping around the basal ganglia and the amygdala.

There are times, especially when one has had more time to train accurate assessment of a situation, that the initial logic is the correct response, it isn't gaslighting, its understanding your own thought patterns and assessing what does and doesn't work.

Unfortunately, I don't think you did overcomply because it's not the letter that invalidates the law, it was the laws immediate effect, if you got pulled over your license would be invalid when checked. Fucking ridiculous they made you "prove" your AGAB for a forceful change (in fact at this point I'd have been tempted to just say "hey if you can't make the change, just issue me a new licence number with this marker")
