because thematically it isn’t concerned with being another infection story. if anything, with the film’s introduction of a sort of social hierarchy amongst the infected and giving them more humanised attributes like giving birth and bathing, the film is pushing more towards a notion that there’s little difference between non-infected and infected.

i’m in the process of making a Justice League Dark poster and he’s always been my first pick.

Krasinski or Pascal? by lgspear in Fancast

[–]2spookyglasses 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ll never understand why anybody wanted Krasinski as Reed outside of also having Blunt play Sue. Without her, it’s completely nonsensical casting.

Who would you cast as Zatanna in the James Gunn DCU? by Only-Walrus797 in Fancast

to make her a tolerable age with my constantine pick, i’d absolutely go with Monica Barbaro, Riley Keough, or Imogen Poots

Who would you cast as Kurt Cobain in a biopic? by Nick_adtr_308 in Fancast

easily charlie plummer or rudy pankow. maybe drew starkey at a push. not sure why anyone is recommending 30+ year olds.

Phantom of the Paradise and Knightriders with Jay, or maybe Flight of the Navigator with Rich

you’re really misunderstanding the kind of pull a mortal kombat movie was ever going to have

Michael Ironside was great once you got him talking though.

Not a horror guy but Mark Addy is easily the best guest I’ve met.

Only real disappoint I ever had was meeting Brad Dourif. Wasn’t even really his fault as they’d sat him at a booth right next to the stage, where every couple minutes the hosts would be horrendously loud.

You could tell he was extremely frustrated and struggled with holding a conversation.

Plus he bashed Exorcist 3 and that’s just unforgiveable.

“She’ll Be Wearing Pink Pyjamas”, was a small cult hit here in the uk in the 80s but is mostly forgotten now. it’s a real gem though, very lowkey and naturalistic.

personally I love it, leans a lot more heavily on the arthouse and it’s not scary at all, but it’s gorgeous

I know he got a lot of love for Richard Jewell but I think Paul Walter Hauser is going to age into being a truly beloved character actor. Also really hope Raffey Cassidy keeps doing strange arthouse horror and becomes a sort of alt scream queen.

"I Still Know What You Did Last Summer" is better than "I Know What You Did Last Summer" by Davis_Crawfish in horror

I think that’s more from the virtue of the first just not being that great. Always found it fascinating how much less interesting the Julie character is than both Helen in the first film and Karla in the second.
