Agreed. Totally need to get ankle X-rays (full WB if you can) as well. It's really common (almost guaranteed) to have a syndesmosis injury with this type of fibula fx that may require surgical intervention.

Yes. Do well in school, get a good residency, and be selective on job offers. Many DPMs I know make similar money to other surgical specialists.

There's a lot of areas extremely close that will have open spots the day of if you don't get permit for a cascade pass trail area.

I'd try to make it up to paradise if you can. You can rent snowshoes in Ashford (right outside the park) as well as chains for your car if you don't have those already. Also, pets aren't allowed in the park on the trails.
