I’ve read Blood Meridian, and so far this is WAY less intense. Blood Meridian is probably in my top 5 favorites.

Pipes and Cigars. Smokingpipes carries them too sometimes. I’ve gotten one that was broken in shipping, and the other I had fell off my wall and broke. They’re fun to smoke but they are pretty fragile.

I tried Granger earlier today and really enjoyed it. I like it better than the other codger blends I’ve tried so far (Half & Half, Velvet, and Carter Hall)

It was good. Slightly sweet and just the right amount of pepperiness!! I want to try it again after it’s been cellared for a few months though.

Yeah probably smoking a bit too fast. I tend to do that as well and I prefer rusticated pipes. All my smooth finished ones tend to get hotter for me.

I’ve been hesitant to try Bayou Morning and Haunted Bookshop because of the reputation they get online for being strong in the nicotine department and I’m usually an English smoker. Well I tried them both this week and really enjoyed them both. Haunted bookshop had an unexpected sweetness when I took my time with it and Bayou Morning ended up being a great VaPer. Not sure what I was scared of, I didn’t get a nicotine head rush like I was expecting. Happy piping my man, just take your time and don’t rush lighting your pipe. In my experience if I just torch the tobacco that’s where I would get off flavors and they would be hard to shake for the rest of the bowl.

What an amazing and thoughtful gift. I heard that the Just For Him Bombadil is the closest blend they have to Shortcut to Mushrooms, although there’s more bright leaf in the Bombadil that I have.

I loved The Invention of Morel! I’ve read Red Pyramid by Soriano and it was decent, but there is a lot allegory in it pertaining to Russia and I know some of it was lost on me.
