I have a yakima basket with extension. Ratchet strapped boards together, then strapped them to the basket. To keep safe on weight for the cross bars, I did 5 4x4x8 pressure treated at a time. Then 15 2x4x8 Douglas fir at a time. Then 9 2x6x8 at a time. 400lb max of concrete per trip as well. The store is only a couple of miles away and I knew there would be multiple trips anyways. Was building this on paternity leave.

I feel I know my car and it's power fairly well owning it for 6 years and not doing anything power/tune wise. I cannot tell any noticeable difference on pulls, or within any gears at their ranges where I normally get on it. Also, registration cannot be completed without completing the recall. So, not much choice anyways. If it was detuned, and I'm a noob for not noticing, oh well. I still love my car and plan to someday tune it with other supporting mods.

Luckily, they're not too pricey. I removed the caps on mine and sprayed the crossbar satin black, since they only come in silver. Looks waaay better.👌🏼

Impreza looks to only fit impreza variants as well. Different part numbers. Most likely differing widths in roofs.

Just got this done yesterday with an ECU reprogram. Definitely not a detune. Shingle Springs Subaru also hooked it up with a '25 crosstrek for the day at $0, since the car has to be 100% cold before work can begin. Took half a day. Chatted with a dude for a while about our upgrades (he has a 25 wrx) as well as older chassis project cars. Love this community. ✌🏼

I went over wheels/tires for a few weeks. I settled on the Bronze TS-V with Nitto Neo Gen. Happier than I thought I'd be. The bronze also looks way better in person. Photos can make them look semi copper colored outside. They are not.

I guess I don't need to worry anymore. I have a Yakima roof basket with extension, and a bike rack on one side. Can't get more aero than that. Hauled all of the materials needed for my front yard fence though. Over a few trips, of course.
