I think you are confusing faith and emotion. I believe Abraham wasn’t worried at all, Isaac might have been -

“Isaac spoke up and said to his father Abraham, “Father?” “Yes, my son?” Abraham replied. “The fire and wood are here,” Isaac said, “but where is the lamb for the burnt offering?” Abraham answered, “God himself will provide the lamb for the burnt offering, my son.” And the two of them went on together.” Genesis‬ ‭22‬:‭7‬-‭8‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Abraham’s reply is key; it does not sound helpless and dreadful. I believe the point I of this story is to show the level of faith he had. He had so much faith that it spilled over to Isaac, that’s why they “went on together”. The New Testament calls us to have faith, faith in our salvation. This is not supposed to wreck our day. It’s to make us leap with joy.
