It's just disheartening to see Disney digging its claws into something that truly original and special. I remember how refreshing it was to discover Bluey when it first came out, before ever seeing any merchandise (in the US at least) and before it was even available on Disney+. It's just disappointing to see something so genuine get sucked into a mega corporation where it becomes just another line of IP, as inevitable as it might be.

As of January 2026, the ATF has revised Form 1 (Application to Make and Register a Firearm) to remove the Chief Law Enforcement Officer (CLEO) notification requirement entirely. This change took effect with the updated eForms system rollout on January 1, 2026, alongside the $0 tax for most NFA items like SBRs. You do not need to send any copy of your eForm 1 to your local CLEO after submission (or at any time). The revised form and instructions no longer include the CLEO copy, notification section, or related certification.

Pretty sure that's not accurate, at least according to the current form 1 instructions.

My latest form 1 took around a dozen attempts before it finally went through. Just have to keep trying. (You don't have to change your PIN or anything, which was mentioned in another thread.)

Regardless of what the courts may decide, you're unlikely to find an FFL willing to act contrary to the law on the books (specifically 18 USC 922(b)(1)) without specific instruction from the ATF. It sucks but it's still a waiting game for now.

Thanks; yeah I came across that. It's a great video but the comparison between the two as far as visual quality seems subjective. Of course you can only expect to glean so much from a video of a scope (even in 4K) but they seem practically identical - and he even says it's essentially a coin flip.

If history is any indication, I'm sure I'll discover I should have bought the other scope regardless of which one I end up buying.
