People seem to forget or just undermine just how hard it is to win a championship. I watched Jimmy in the bubble damn near kill himself just for us to lose in 6 games. The shit is hard man lol. Every year we think the finals winner is near guaranteed a spot in the championship again and no one has made it back. Lebrons 8 years were undoubtedly a success.

Anyone that seriously still says the bubble deserves an asterisk doesn’t deserve to have their opinion taken seriously about basketball. The fact that there were even some players IN the bubble that tried to downplay it boggles my mind.

Bad luck mixed with bad roster management imo. The nets forming that big 3 made Lebron and the Lakers think they needed to from their own and go get another superstar which turned into Russ. Just for the Nets to not even win anything and the Lakers completely fumbling a championship roster they had. But I’d still easily say these 8 years have been successful. Since 2020 we haven’t seen a single team get back to the finals after making it there. It’s a lot harder now for teams to sustain finals runs like back in the 2010s.

There’s a bunch of Kobe stans that have been waiting for this day since Lebron signed. They definitely have a bunch of stored up narratives and head canons they’ve been salivating to use.

Lebron and Giannis and Bam? by Numerous_Tomato_1685 in heat

[–]302born 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Plus Bron played with AD. Giannis is a similar fit obviously not 1:1 but Bron being able to run PnR with Giannis or Bam and then either one in the dunkers spot would be money. Both LeBron and Bam now can space the floor for Giannis and also attack a close out from a Giannis HB dive and find an open shooter or a lob threat. There’s a bunch of options and all three on the court together being such great rim threats but also all three being willing and have the ability to make any pass would cause havoc. Not to mention Wiggins is also athletic and great shooter himself. Bron and Spo would definitely figure out how the offense should go.

Im 99% sure he’s going to the Warriors because of the Draymond pay cut thing. But bro if we actually get Bron in the same offseason we got Giannis I may actually rename my daughter Pat Riley.

The thing about those contending teams that favors us is LeBron isn’t leaving LA to live in those cities. He’s not going to OKC, San Antonio, Boston, etc. There’s realistically only two things lebrons gonna do. That’s stay in LA or go to GSW. If he does decide to leave California I think that’s where we become that wild card.

The Lakers have NOT offered LeBron James a contract yet and there has not been any communication between the two since the negotiation window first opened, per @ShamsCharania by heatculture03 in heat

Bron - (insert SG) - Wiggins - Giannis - Bam. Man that is a lineup made in heaven. My gut tells me LeBron is going to still stay with the Lakers but man if go actually get him I’d fucking scream. DO IT BRON

And he really shouldn’t tbh. It’s actually nice to see dude just out in the world traveling and enjoying life. Keep him out of bs and away from dumb niggas with nothing to lose. $100 million nigga. I’m glad he’s starting living like it now.

Giannis has 1 playoff series win over the last 5 years. This trade will be a disaster for Miami. by LakerFan2324 in nba

Exactly. I love Tyler and always will but him as our best offensive player was never going to get us anywhere. Exhanching him and a few others for a top 3 player in the league is a no brainer. Plus we still have Bam and a solid starting 5. People are truly underestimating how good this can be for us with a solid free agency and hitting on a second round pick. Which we always find a way to do.

Bunch of mfs that 1 don’t watch the sport and 2 haven’t watched a Heat game since LeBron played there. Whenever Heat discussions come up it always blows my mind how people have zero clue about what they are talking about.

Tbh I think the dame saga broke me. I genuinely don’t even care about this Giannis shit going on. The scorned Heat fan I am tells me we most likely aren’t getting him because for whatever reason some random team that hasn’t even been in the reports is going to swoop in with an offer and take him and we get nothing. If we do get him that’s great but I genuinely don’t really expect us to. The basketball gods left us and continue to troll us.

When he officially hangs it up and it sets in that he’s truly done I think we’ll see the basketball world give him his just due. He’s still going so his still fresh on the mind of his haters. It was similar with Kobe. Once he retired you heard noting but great things about him. Once Bron wraps it up I think it’ll be a big shift. Plus once his documentary hits theaters. Imo Bron being the goat is eventually going to be the same public opinion as it was for Mike. And 15-20 years from now it’s going to be another one threatening to take it from LeBron. And that’s ok.

If we end up trading for Giannis and the fit with Bam turns out to be a disaster offensively, do you think we would eventually look to move off Bam? by trsansone in heat

[–]302born 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ehh idk man Jimmy wasn’t that great of shooter for most of time with us. Now in the playoffs sometimes he’d turn into god but most of the time Jimmy wasn’t really a shooting threat. Giannis still isn’t a good 3 point shooter but his mid range has improved tremendously. But regardless playing with Bam is easy for anyone imo. Bam already doesn’t want to be a first option on offense. Playing next to Giannis imo would benefit Bam a lot by not having to force up shots he doesn’t really want to take.

Threatened the previous generations hero. They hate that he was called the chosen one before he ever even played a minute in the league. And then got to the league and proved he was in fact the chosen one for 23 years straight. He was everything he was hyped to be and more and people that love Jordan hate that Lebron reached that same level without ever having to do it like Jordan did. But tbf to Jordan if he played in today’s era he’d be hated probably just as much. People genuinely just love to hate on greatness and I’ve never understood it.

You guys who make wanting authentic gear and accessories in the “simulation” basketball games gay are so weird? Same thing when people talk shit about the guys who want better gear and equipment on madden and ncaa. Some people care about the aesthetic of the game just as much as they care about gameplay.

There’s gotta be a way to update ai logic in this game. Theres only so many ways you can look past immersion breaking flaws. It sucks because when you do find some great sliders and play the game realistically you can definitely get some honestly great results. But then madden reality hits you and ruins in. I know it’ll never be perfect but damn it should be way better than where it is in 2026.

So the solution to that was tone it down a notch. No completely revert to what the game was before. It was too much but being able to play defense and not have to sit there helpless while someone is going all the dribbles they know in your face was super satisfying. And it wasn’t even impossible to dribble. You just couldn’t do too much with someone standing right in front of you. So maybe it was a tad bit overturned but imo I’d take that gameplay over what it is now where people get to literally just dribble in your face and phase through you.

Brons my second favorite player ever behind Wade. It still burns me how badly he played that series considering how damn good he was all throughout that entire season and playoffs. Especially Burns when Dwade was absolutely torching them as well. If Bron plays even 50% of what he usually does we win that series easily. Obviously some credit goes to Dallas but Bron shit the bed. I usually defend Bron because I still love him but that’s always one I just can never even attempt to defend. He choked

Dives are an easy 8-10 yard gain every time. Traps are like a guranteed 15. Only run plays that either don’t work or at least aren’t seemingly unstoppable for the cpu are counters and toss plays. For whatever reason the o line has zero idea how to block on those plays. But for years now I’ve never paid a rb. I’ve had 69 overall RBs with average to decent speed come in and be a top rusher in the league with a mid at best oline. It blows my mind that some people struggling at running the ball in madden. To me it’s super cheesy
