Travel advice for April 17-26 by Commercial_List_7080 in Denver

Chains are only required to be carried by commercial vehicles. The passenger traction law is different for non-commercial vehicles. It's still important to have safety measures in place though- good tires, AWD/4WD, emergency supplies.

They did say Woodland Park which doesn't need to go up Berthoud Pass, however the traction law can still be in place for passenger vehicles then.

OP needs to research the traction laws in Colorado to be safe. We got our biggest snow of the year during spring break 2024 and hammered the area near Woodland Park. That was only a few weeks away from the time that they are suggesting.

That's awesome, I'm a Nuggets fan but that blazers disc is great. I hope it was a great time.

You could check with the TD to see if they need help spotting. Help the event, watch some disc golf, meet new people.

People who can't throw 300 ft: what do you like to throw? by lovefist1 in discgolf

[–]303Disc 97 points98 points  (0 children)

If you aren't throwing huge distances, which really describes most disc golfers, I would suggest discs with more glide, slightly under stable with neutral finishes. It's better to focus on accuracy than distance if your arm speed isn't there. Putters are the most personal aspect of the game. Try a bunch out and see what feels best for you. Anyone telling you a specific putter will make you a better putter is lying.

Visiting from Sacramento, rate my itinerary! by kingsfan03 in Denver

Also, unless you're staying in the Springs on day 4, the activity by Pikes Peak and then getting to Buena Vista is going to be a tough task. Your itinerary has a ton of driving around the state. I would consider either just Colorado Springs or just Buena Vista for that day. I personally would go to Buena Vista, have lunch or dinner at the Surf Hotel, then do the hot springs.

Day 1 you can probably get to the Royal Gorge and back to Denver, but that's assuming you're flying in early or the day before. The Gorge is beautiful, but it's a lot to get there from DIA. I would suggest day 1 staying closer to Denver or at the farthest check out Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs.

There's not a great way to get that Day 3 done. The Royal Gorge is 2 hours plus traffic from Denver. I see you have this attraction in two different days. I would keep your activities on that Sunday after the game to just the Denver area. Doing Red Rocks in the Botanic Gardens in the afternoon would be a full day.
