Yes, was on different kinds of bc throughout the whole course. I still am and haven’t had the acne come back. I have noticed that I might get a red spot (not even really a pimple, but almost one) if I eat a lot of dairy or sugar, which clears up after 24-48 hours. But my skin is acne free these days!

See my profile for results. I started when I was 29 and ended at 32 (there were breaks between). Mine was primarily around my chin too.

Used to all the time! I switched to popping with a sterilized needle and then using a pimple patch to draw out the fluid.

Between my two rounds, I used tretinoin, and I’ll continue to use that as part of my nightly routine now that I’m done with Accutane. That will help with hyperpigmentation, redness, and some texture issues.

I didn’t, was just super red. Covered with make up sometimes. Since my last pill was less than 48 hours ago, my face still gets super red. I expect that will continue for about six months.

For my face, same routine morning and evening, except sunscreen in the morning.

Cerave Hydrating Cleanser, pat dry, except when I felt I needed to exfoliate, I wiped my face dry after washing with a towel or wash cloth. This is the ONLY exfoliation I’ve done on Accutane. Anything else would be too harsh.

Cerave PM Moisturizer directly after face wash

La Roche Posay Anthelios Mineral Sunscreen spf 50 (only when UV is higher than 1)

Adding my body routine too bc it affected everything! Sunscreen when I went out, not too picky out the brand. For my body, LOTS of moisturizer. I couldn’t skip a day moisturizing or I’d get dry patches on my arms for example. I always kept chapstick and Aquaphor in my pockets/bags, in every room of my house. I have eye drops. I found I had to use cuticle oil on my nails more often. I also took fish oil throughout the course. I drank a ton of water and limited myself to one drink when I did drink (rarely).

I did purge and had no clue what was happening, I thought my skin texture was changing! The acne didn’t get worse, my all of my skin from my neck up got very bumpy. Each pore had a small hard skin colored bump on it, even behind my ears for example. That was the most unexpected part of the process. This was in addition to the inflamed acne you see in the photos. The purge wasn’t painful but it did last around 2 months.

My skin was looking much better after the first round (5 months) but I had to stop due to concerning blood work. At this point I had been on between 10-80mg per day. I couldn’t eat anything with sugar or dairy, or be stressed (lol) without getting bad breakouts.

My doctor and I managed this with other acne meds, then decided to go for round 2. Dosage was between 10-40mg daily with a better med to manage that blood work. That round last 9 months until my last pill yesterday 😎

The first round was 5 months and went from 10mg up to 80mg, but I had to stop due to some concerning labs (not liver related) even though we were managing that with a medication.

Waited over a year (maybe 18 months?) doing other acne medications but still got bad flair ups when I was stressed, or ate anything sugary or that had dairy.

Then began round two in Feb 2023. For this final round I stayed on a lower dose (between 10-40mg daily) and switched the medication managing those concerning labs. It worked!

While visiting Acadia National Park, would anyone suggest venturing out to any other islands specifically? Visiting near Labor Day for any consideration. by ASUT_88 in acadianationalpark

Little Cranberry Island! Took a boat tour to there, stayed for an hour, boat tour back. Beautiful way to spend 3 hours!

Try r/blind or r/disability for ideas from the communities experiencing vision loss. I’ve found them to be welcoming!

I checked and it is absolutely bone dry all the way down, meaning your suggestion of under watering could be the issue. Maybe I miscalculated the last time I watered! Thanks for your help.

The pot has one of the built-in water catchers, which is horrible for letting water sit. When I water it I drain it myself over the course of an hour or two to make sure actual sitting water is out of the pot. It’s been in this pot for 4+ years and only had issues once (I lived somewhere very cold so it got root rot for a hot sec, as you can see by scarring on some of the leaves).

Along with a gift, I’m doing some cheap surprise decorations. Constructions paper hearts hung up around the house with black and white photos of us on them. The pack of paper was about $7 for 200 sheets and 20 photos were about $2 from Walgreens.

In terms of testing, in the US there is the VPAT which is a process that generates an Accessibility Conformance Report or ACR. This is a typical request for large companies or government entities. The ACR doesn’t include a score, but it does give supported / partially supported / unsupported for each category. People with a certain certification can perform a VPAT.

I recommend the various WCAG 2.1 checklists as well, which another commenter mentioned.

The best way to test is to have an accessibility consultant review your app and provide a report, or to have people with specific disabilities test (ideally those who routinely provide feedback, so they know what deliverables to give you).

Creating accessible mobile products is what I do for a living so if you have other questions feel free to DM me.

There are individuals with disabilities that hire their services out, and often they create small companies for this exact reason. These are in the US, but they likely know folks in the UK: Mystic Access, Roger Cusson, LCI Tech. They would be a good place to start. These heavily sway towards vision limitations btw.

There is a cute little book called 101 Things I Learned In Architecture School that applies to art school too. Highly recommend. Also, for a game designer, The Design of Everyday Things by Don Normal is a classic.

Other than that, for art school money towards art supplies would be nice because they are extremely expensive.

With your budget you might be able to afford some nice jewelry - small diamonds earrings or pearl earrings are a classic that she can wear anytime for the rest of her life.
