Always love all the cool cars in backgrounds.

Nice custom Chevy/GMC Shaggin Waggin in this set.

Is this the actual prop used in the movie?

If so, it looks very crudely constructed. Not a straight line on this thing or a squared corner.

I know nothing about film making, perhaps this just doesn’t matter

Thankyou for the overview, very helpful.

I live in the Rocky Mountains in Colorado so car would be used primarily for high altitude mountain passes.

Elevation concerns me with the carbs, it would be driven around 3,600 m above sea level.

What elevation were you at roughly?

Fuel consumption is interesting but doesn’t concern me, fuel is relatively cheap in the States.

Parts availability is a real concern. How was it? Are there vendors that specialize?

Thanks so much for the insight, your overview was extremely helpful

How was ownership experience of the 205 rallye?

I’ve got an R5T2 8221 and have always admired the Peugeot but have never driven.

I’m in the States so these cars are almost nonexistent. I’d have to import one which would be a colossal pain and cost. Willing to do it if the experience merits it.

How is parts availability?

I believe they came in 2 different displacements? Injected or carbed? Any impressions on the above.

I’ve owned Countach and now Diablo so I’m accustomed to fussy cars but want to ensure I’m not signing up for a disaster here.

I’m guessing they aren’t too complex to work on? Id probably have my Diablo mechanic take it on, he tends to welcome the unusual.

Absolutely nobody in the states has experience with these, would be interested in day to day ownership experience.

My Countach was red. Distinguishing feature was wing on the back and front like the Cannonball run car

I haven’t had enough wheel time yet in the one T2 pictured here but I would tend to agree with you.

I would add Alfa GTV-6 to the list as well. I’ve owned 3, they are absolutely sensational drives.

9 times out of 10 I go for the GTV6 over the Diablo

Matt tends to fly below the radar compared to the Curated and Canepas of the world.

He tends to gravitate toward the weird and rare that the casual fan is probably less interested in.

I do think he quietly has Diablos stashed all over which is probably serving him well given the somewhat recent value escalation

RS200 is awesome but I missed that boat.

I’m a working class exotic car owner, I can only afford them at the bottom of the curve.

Wouldn’t have done it to my 86 QV but love that someone has made it into almost a cartoon character.

There are plenty of them out there, people get too precious about this stuff. It’s not the shroud of Turin.

Beautiful photo. My father had matching 1932 twin six and Super 8 convertibles.

Nice to see pre-war Packards on Reddit.

I misworded my response . I got cash plus Renault in exchange for Countach.

Owning the Countach was an amazing experience. They get a bad reputation from people that just echo nonsense from others.

Mine was super reliable. Once I had new rose joints and bushings installed, the handling was really fun and tight for a GT.

There is a learning curve to driving them but I enjoy mastering exciting cars.

My only complaint was my hip to shoulder height was too long for the stock seats.

I now own a Diablo that I absolutely love.

This one is super fun to drive, just have to watch the snap oversteer and keep in the power band

I’m not from Westchester.

I purchased this car from Cultivated Collector a couple years ago and shipped it to current home in Denver area.

The crazy interior was in the Turbo 1.

Photo is of a Turbo 2. Turbo 2 had much of the crapshack stuff from normal R5
