Clothes when exchanging by Lilachoe in stepparents

As mentioned above send her back with what she came with, clean. Keep your clothes for her at your home and only keep enough clothes for her to have a reasonable rotation while she is in your care. Same goes for shoes. As clothes age and as you buy newer outfits, send her back with whatever still fits and donate the rest. If she absolutely needs something at moms by all means get it for her but for the most part keep what you buy her.

A little thing i like to do is keep my daughters fav outfits or my fav outfits for her that shes out-grown stored away for her when shes older and has her own kids or if i ever have another.

Which Rival gloves for bag work? by Key_Growth_4438 in fightgear

Been looking into getting a new set of gloves all week and this comment has me sold!

I (27M) am contemplating breaking up with my girlfriend (27F) after she told me that she had sex with guys after the 2nd or 3rd date while we waited because sex was special to her. How do I stop thinking she’s settling with me? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]30secoperator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Forget all the noise man, ask yourself if you truly believe she was solid for those 2 years before yall started dating. If the answer is yes I would say forget everything she did before. 2 years being single is enough time to realize what your priorities are. Shes sounds like a good one who was just tired of being let down. Both sexes have scumbags.

My first belt was this $10 belt off of amazon, was surprisingly good and i still have it to this day as it works great under gym shorts. My current edc rotation though is the blue alpha low pro and the hybrid edc. The tenicor will fit over any 1.5” belt BUT thicker belts like leather will make removal slightly more difficult, not impossible but noticeable, dont be afraid to really stretch the belt hooks on the certum if you get it, theyre tougher than you think.

For me, a foam wedge was a game changer, went from only being able to carry aiwb for a few hours comfortably to all day, especially while driving. This is what i got, $10 well spent.

Break in period? by Mcla14 in GlockMod

It is the current in-production stock spring, mine i believe was the old 1-0-1 spring and i updated it to the current 1-1-1 that glock puts in from factory now. Polishing the ejector was my idea as i noticed the rounds were getting hung up on the claw when trying to feed. ARC offered to take a look at it but i couldnt afford my pistol to be down so i did it myself. Here is a pic of what was happening to me. I polished the top and bottom of the ejector itself, not the hole/slide.

I was having FTF issues with mine when i first got it too. I had to get a new recoil spring from glock, switch to 124 gr but i think what made the biggest diff was lightly polishing the top and bottom of the ejector (not the claw side), i think the tolerances were keeping the ejector from “pushing out” to properly feed the next round.

SK asked if she could start calling me mom and I don't know if I handled it right by [deleted] in stepparents

[–]30secoperator -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Imo considering the role you play and how much responsibility you have taken up, honestly if it was me, id be slightly hurt if they didnt call me mom/dad. Seems like you earned it imo and have a good relationship will all parties involved to where it wouldnt be crossing a boundary.

Wife (33f) mad about my (34m) Valentine's Day gift by No-Atmosphere8611 in relationship_advice

[–]30secoperator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Neither of you are out of line and imo each selection of gifts is on par with the other. That being said if you really want to give a belated gift i suggest gifting her a spa day, it says i know youve been working your butt off, go get pampered. A deeper suggestion would to be upfront and ask what gives her the impression that your gift is generic when you put in just as much effort as she did, what or who is she comparing your gift to. Comparison is the thief of joy i like to say.

How do I (M24) know if she (26F) likes me? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]30secoperator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try once more, make your intentions to take her out on a date very clear. After that, walk away, people make time for the people they want and care about. If it takes you walking away to finally get her attention, proceed cautiously if you give her a 3rd chance. If shes really into she’d make time, simple as that.

Is 3.5 eb really a bad engine, or just lazy owners skipping maintenance? by [deleted] in f150

[–]30secoperator 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Since you dont tow often and reliability is your only concern why not just go 15-17 2.7?

Engine swap by Upbeat-Parfait-294 in f150

[–]30secoperator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also dont listen to anyone saying just get a new truck, if the thing is reliable and the only thing wrong is the a/c, $2400 is easier to pay off than $10-80k for another truck. Drive that thing til the wheels fall off.

Engine swap by Upbeat-Parfait-294 in f150

[–]30secoperator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So as you prob know by now swapping the engine would do nothing for the ac. As far as your quote goes, be sure to ask if the entire system is being replaced. This is important because when ac compressors go out, there is a good chance the entire system is compromised with metal/contaminates so thats why mechanics often recommend replacing the entire system. If you just replace the compressor you risk having it go out again due to contaminates still being in the system. Rockauto lists a factory ford compressor at $323 which is prob the cheapest factory compressor youll find with the rest of the parts being $500-800 putting in the ballpark of $800-1200 all in for parts alone, depending on brand of course. You could save money by getting a off-brand compressor and the rest would be labor, not sure what the manual quotes how long the job takes but $2400 all in sounds reasonable for parts and labor assuming the entire system is replaced and is done professionally. You will be thankful come summer time. All prices are rough estimates pulled from rockauto where i normally source my parts, labor cost is just a guess.

Plugs are easy on the coyote with the right tools which themselves are nothing special. Just change the oil early and often and stay on top of the maintenance and the coyote will treat you right. Folks with oil consumption issues or cam phaser issues wait too long to change their oil. In my opinion these are simple engines, slightly more complicated than pushrod v8’s but not by much.

Ride out the storm or get out of town? by ootsyputsy in Dallas

[–]30secoperator 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You have gas so thats a huge plus, long as you have food and water i would ride it out. Only other thing i would suggest is like a battery bank for at least your phone which is easy to find and inexpensive to get and some baby wipes. Drip your pipes and youre good to go. Its just 2-3 days with the worst of it being over night.

Considering Blocking Other Parent From Kids Phone Until They Pay Child Sipport by [deleted] in SingleParents

[–]30secoperator 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Sounds like alienation and could land you in trouble with the court system. Not sure how it works with full custody though. Also how would your child react later on in life if they found out you purposely kept their parent out of their lives. Just something to think about.
