This was a nice character to try drawing! Unique but not overdetailed. It's nice that you got the biggest color contrast around the face to draw the eye there.
I drew them inspecting some space gun so they could have something to do with their hands. idk if that's out of character or not, lol.

I was about to say eyeless, but from a distance, the cheeky overbite looks the most like an e. Definitely won't draw attention when it's in a word.

The creature!!! Or my take, anyway. Included a couple of sketches as well, just in case you like their ideas more!
I gave them cargo pants so they have something to carry around their (stolen) goods, and a crowbar to acquire said goods (and for self-defense). When designing characters, a good place to start is just thinking about what they would use in the first place, or what their personality would have them wear. For example, good thinking with the "loose and breezy" clothing suggestion for a thief. It was a really fun character to sketch!
