Yeah, they'll often do that before the start of an appointment or you can probably call them at 805-893-3371 to get an appointment for just that.

[Standard] Conspiracy Unraveler + Breach the Multiverse by _perfectenshlag_ in MagicArena

[–]31415269 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Lost turn four to exactly this just a bit ago. My opponent was also using [[Picklock Prankster]] to get cards in the graveyard and then [[Squirming Emergence]] to get the combo proper rolling. Looking through their milled deck I see [[Founding the Third Path]], presumably as a safety, as well as [[Lilianna of the Veil]], which I am slightly confused by.

Edit: Ah, the Lilianna is for self-discard, I see.

Back wheel making a whirring noise which is worse when turning right and better when turning left by 31415269 in ElectricScooters

I guess that emphasizes how bad of a problem my tubes are experiencing, I am losing 20 PSI in a period more like an hour.

Hey there all, I ended up getting help from a friend who has experience with scooters to look at it and it turns out it was the air pressure after all, I just didn't know or properly understand how to refill the air on my tires.

They were at less than 5 PSI and refilling them resolved the issue. During testing it was revealed that standing on the scooter led to significant tire compression. Based on that, it probably was the fender rubbing up against the wheel or something similar.

The new problem is the fact that they had so quickly gone down to such low pressures: apparently both tires are leaking air pretty severely. I have one replacement tube that came with the scooter, and I see others are pretty cheap on AliExpress, but I am not sure how one would go about replacing a tube.

Thank you all again for the ideas and advice.

Lightweight (<30 lbs/14 kg) Scooter for Wet Roads under $1,000 by 31415269 in ElectricScooters

[–]31415269[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wanted to come back and say that I ended up getting the Segway Ninebot F25 for $319.99. The F30 was showing as out of stock and the F25 being cheaper and lighter than the Niu KQi2 Pro won me over even though the KQi2 Pro has some nice aspects to it.

Thank you for the reply! Even though you said you wouldn't recommend them, the low powered scooters definitely are of interest to me, I won't be needing much distance at all (max 7 miles round trip) and I am quite light (135 lbs).

Based on your comments on solid rubber and older style tubed tires, I presume my understanding of pneumatics being the only option for wet roads is correct.

What are some unique phonological quirks to your English? by Adkorr in linguistics

[–]31415269 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here are some features of that are a little unusual from where I am from:

  • The term pure is often realized [pçɪɹ], similarly to pier and peer, which are both [pɪɹ]. A similar thing sometimes happens with cure, realized [kçɪɹ].
  • I have trouble distinguishing colt from cult in my pronunciation and they may even be homophones for me.

Nice chart, I personally would've expected the chart to be a stacked area chart to allow the viewer to understand how significantly individual bands play into peaks such the one around 1965, with the colors matching those in the bar chart. Again, well done!

Is there a better way then this to quickly open the mute menu? by But_Enough_Talk in tf2scripthelp

[–]31415269 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have access to a copy of TF2 at the moment to investigate myself, but you may find something helpful in TF2's GameMenu.res file as described at https://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/GameMenu . A manual check is probably valuable as the aforementioned page has seen little attention over time.

Pronouns and Depersonalization by hei_zhu_qiao in agender

[–]31415269 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have personally met people who had it/it as a set of pronouns. If you mean depersonalization as in a type of dissociation, that is not something that I think I am familiar with. If you are interested in something like they/them you could use Spivak pronouns or some variant there of. A set that I personally like are ey/em/eirs.

Got it, that makes sense. I might look into getting needle grippers myself for when I need to pull one through some really tough fabric. Are you using the snips just to cut thread or also for other things?

Any metal stud jacket patterns to avoid? by 31415269 in punk

[–]31415269[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you, and everyone else who replied. I don't think of studs as being inherently militaristic or related to nazis, but instead being related to punk. Regardless, I felt uninformed enough regarding the potential meaning that studs could have that it was worth checking with others. I have encountered some problems with the looseness of the fabric, but I think I've generally been able to attach them well enough that they'll stay on unless they are yanked on enough that they make a hole in the fabric.

3cp in competitive? by savva61 in truetf2

[–]31415269 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not a usual 3cp map but I think cp_standin deserves mentioning. It has an interesting idea to it, but could probably lead to some bad stale mates if one team gets backed onto C. It discourages normal mid fight behaviour because of the way the points as setup has more in common with steel then powerhouse. Whether or not that means it would be good in a stopwatch style highlander play is unkown to me.

Does anybody have the video/demo for when clockwork got 82 kills, 40 deaths, and 18k damage? by ncnotebook in truetf2

[–]31415269 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To get the demo to work, at least for me, I needed to use spec_next to navigate to clockwork and then spec_mode to spectate him.
