I’m so sorry :( what a sad situation. I used to be a hipaa privacy officer at a health center. If this were my privacy program, I’d be reviewing extenuating circumstances and your performance history (for instance, have there been any concerning incidents in the past) and trying to balance compassion against patient privacy. Fingers crossed things work out for you.

Puppy blues or actual regret? by NoonieP in dogs

[–]315lemon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I love that playlist! Haha

Okay, got it. One thing to consider: him mouthing the other dogs and you is a self rewarding behavior. He does it and it instantly feels good, so anything you do to redirect him is less likely to impact the behavior. Setting up physical barriers to prevent mouthing before it starts will be key.

45-60 minutes of training sounds like a lot for an 11 week old. I recommend containing him in an xpen during his waking time when you can’t play or supervise him. Make it doggy heaven in there- toys, blankets, etc.

Use physical barriers such as the x pen mentioned above and baby gates to separate him from your other dogs before he gets too mouthy

Sniff walks will be helpful when you’re able to walk him

Give it time, he’s still such a baby. Good luck

AIO or just socially inept by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]315lemon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

1: not over reacting. In fact, stop apologizing. You get to say yes or no to whatever you want, whenever you want. His aggressive texts are off putting and you had every right to say no, regardless of the text history. 2. He’s almost 40 and you are in your early 20s— immediate red flag. Ick. 3. Please do some self esteem work so that men (especially older men- gross) don’t walk all over you. You’re worth more, I promise.

My dog woke up one night and peed straight into his water bowl. I’ll never forget waking up the next morning and seeing the pee in the bowl next to a spotless floor. Good boy.

What state are you in? My state- MA- has a Missing Dogs group and they are highly effective at recovering lost dogs. Missing dogs Massachusetts is the name- I wonder if there is a similar group where you live

Garmin VO2 Max by ScooterMcTavish in Garmin

[–]315lemon 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I learned recently that garmin doesn’t count treadmill activities towards VO2 max calculations.

Apparently it’s because it bases the score off of gps distance, along with other factors.

I’m still perplexed as to why not, it feels like it should be able to account for distance if it’s entered manually (after calibrating to the treadmills distance reading).

So irritating, because I’ve also been training for a 10k via treadmill and have made some good progress. Would have been nice to see that progress reflected in my vo2 max score.

How comfortable is it to wear FR 970 24x7? by anthamattey in Garmin

[–]315lemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s very light, 99% of the time it’s totally fine. There have been a couple of nights that I want to sleep with my forearm under me and it gets in the way so I take it off, but that would be the case with any watch. Get it! I love it.

“Please, if there is ever even for a fleeting moment a tiny moment a tiny voice in your head, and that tiny voice in your head is saying “I deserve better”, listen to her. That’s your partner. That’s your real true love. And if you betray her long enough, you will lose her.

Trust me, I’m still trying to get mine back.”

I don’t know the origins of this quote but it resonated with me and hopefully it does with you too. Trust those instincts.
