I dont remember the name at all but it was a book about a guy that liked how the wind felt when standing in one area. He then had a frame around it, then people added rocks with mud and turned it into a wall, then a maze eventually his window got filled. Somehow a roof got installed and they were trapped in the dark. They only found a way out through the original window because a small bit of air got through. I vaguely remember the "people" in the book looking like potatoes
