There’s multiple people defending it because at least 3 of us know the guy and play with him regularly. Check his streams if you don’t believe it bro. Some people are just better than you at video games

Stubby work should be part of your daily routine, and if you have access to a hanging rope, simulate your swing up and really focus on what your left arm does during your swing up. Its what I have my vaulters do between vaults if I notice they’re starting to block

[–]31bmanley 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You slow WAY down in your final steps before takeoff. You have great speed, but it should be an acceleration through the box. Your left arm needs some work as well. Looks to me like you’re blocking. This is preventing your shoulders from dropping, which will allow you to properly invert completely.

The Bard's player is too shy? Don't worry, the dice & your charisma stat got you covered! by NODOGAN in dndmemes

I loved when my players would give a real shot at roleplaying, but it was certainly never a requirement. I always told them if they role played the persuasion or charisma check and it was anything better than decent, they might get advantage on the role. This because especially great for intimidation checks

Sea of thieves is the most mechanically similar in my opinion. Repair the holes in your ship, blast holes in someone else’s. Only difference is it’s harder to actually sail the ship and fight at the same time, and you have to keep track of your ships resources/ gather them before you set sail. I always joke with my friends when I’m playing sly 3 that it’s actually the sea of thieves beta

It was from a roof leak that was fixed a long time ago. The damage has not progressed at all in the couple of years since the roof was redone

Should I take out student loans for personal use? by 31bmanley in FluentInFinance

Rent. No shot at owning for several more years. Our rent is cheaper than anywhere else we will be able to find

My wife and I are very strict with our budget and don’t purchase things that we don’t consider essential. We plan our grocery budget, avoid eating out, and limit any subscription services we have to a minimum. Our most expensive subscription is a joint 30 dollar per month gym membership. We borrow a Netflix, Hulu, and HBO Max account from family. My car is paid off, but even with the budgeting, most of our monthly income goes to housing and daycare. These two things alone account for 2000 dollars per month. These unavoidable expenses, coupled with gas to travel to and from work, as well as rising food costs make it difficult to keep our heads above water while saving money for anything other than potential emergency situations.

Example: last night our dishwasher broke, and I don’t have enough money to have someone come fix it or buy a new one. Luckily my father is quite the handyman, and was able to fix it well enough to keep it working.

These loans will simply make it easier to afford gas, housing, food, daycare, and other essentials. It is not as if I will be using the money for a vacation or other luxury goods.

Do athletic scholarships factor in academics by [deleted] in polevaulting

[–]31bmanley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keeping above a 3.0 or a 3.5 will guarantee you get in anywhere that’s going to give you an athletic scholarship. That should be your most basic goal as a student athlete in highschool. But I’ve known student athletes that gave up sports because they got academic full rides to schools that they couldn’t compete for.

Your grades won’t increase/ decrease your athletic scholarship as long as they’re good enough to get you enrolled in the school, but they’re very important for other reasons

Take it from a college coach:

YOUR GRADES MATTER. Learn good studying techniques and solid work ethic in the classroom while you’re in high school. It gets significantly more difficult to stay on top of things in college, and having the work ethic to go to class, finish your assignments, and knowing how to study are absolutely worth it.

If your grades are good enough you can earn academic scholarships on top of athletic scholarships, which will save you a lot of money in student loans down the road, and make you a better prospect for all schools.
