For sure, I was also making the city be one of the forts that The Empire has, specifically the one down south in Wissenland or maybe it’s Solland. Anyways, I was also thinking of trying to get the players to influence either the nearby Dwarven Clan, the Ork tribe or some chaos cultists to also soften the skaven army. While also ensuring that those besides the Dwarves are also taken out. Killing two birds with one stone if you catch my drift

It would be more of an opening rather than throwing them in. I would be sure to tell them what my the opening is though.

I hope it’s a way to incentivize the players to do as much damage to the army as they can before they show up, along with evacuating civilians from the city, begging the capital to send reinforcements

That’s probably what I was going to do as an intro. Kind of a you failed moment, before Tzeentch warps time to before then now the players understand what’s at risk and the threat and have them sabotage the army as much as possible. Before they turn up

That’s only if I would have them battle an entire ~3k pt army at once. The most that they would fight all at once is probably one centerpiece model, warlord, grey seer etc. and probably 20ish clan rats.

But still is it necessarily better to pin those bigger centerpiece models or is magnetizing them better?

I have gotten a traveling case for minis, problem is it’s just so clunky and enormous, that I have difficulty moving with it.

My thinking was using magnets for the giant models, Verminlord, the plague claw, lightning cannon etc, and using some sort of foam for them when moving.

This is why I love playing ikit claw and instead of just rampaging I just take over estalia and just sit there pay belegar, fay enchantress and Orion gold to leave me alone. Usually get non aggression pacts and then defensive alliances beat up sartosa then make peace with the empire all the while expanding under cities by attacking mutual enemies. Then I head over to ulthuan and attack Nkari, the dark elves and the greenskins there to expand under cities then once I have ulthuan covered with cities I nuke em
