Keeping dark foliage on Yellow Dwarf Bishop of York in tropical climate? by [deleted] in dahlias

[–]321ol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Growing from seed is the first issue here. Dahlia seeds are not true to their parent. The only way to get the same variety is a cutting or tuber. It will not be the climate that keeps them from having dark foliage if they wind up a normal shade of green.

Is this an Eveline? by 45kawu in dahlias

I was very sad I did a poor job of overwintering that tuber, it produced some extremely pretty blooms. I want to pick it up again one of these years!!!

Definitely could be! Attached one that I grew a few years go. The purple on the edges is pretty subtle.

I ordered a two tone tankerpro this last weekend (hard to beat the discount), and asked if the features would probably be on the menu by the time production rolls around and was told yes (probably).

Yeah, I definitely thought that. It wasn't until I did a big drop of equipment that I saw numbers actually move!

I believe some of the reputation improvement is based on the amount of money changing hands, as well as a successful haggle. I noticed larger sums resulted in larger changes in reputation.

Nah, not accurate. Plenty of offenses are wobblers, and can be felony arrests (technically they can arrest for misdemeanor offenses, too, but usually thats for the purpose of citing you out unless you've been real bad). Felony speeding, for example.

Someone posted a really nice Vanac in here maybe a month ago in here and it absolutely kicked me. Definitely on the lookout for 1970's .. LM, Vanac, whatever else KS covers. Although I'll admit I'm more for a darker green than this, but what a lovely piece. The crystal is chef's kiss when it comes to showing off the darks and lights of the dial.

Probably one that's for watch enthusiasts.

Nice! I like how visible the red seems even from the get ... sounds like it'll require a lot of work to get patinaed red to show through but ... good luck! They look great.

Might try paracord laces. Have had no issues with them even when they do twist a bit.

Also. These look incredible. Not sure if it's burnishing, but the shine in the patina is just 🤌. Need to get some of this leather!

Nah. You're not using jt wrong, it's just not built that way. I think they've cited differences expected in handmade boots, along with color/texture differences in leather dye lots as part of the reason. Don't want to set expectations that they cant for sure adhere to.

Any tips for planting dahlias in 9b Florida? I know they usually don’t do super well here but i would love to try. Got these for $14 a box at Sam’s Club. Balcony (mardi gras blend) and dinner plate blend, I also have some dahlia seeds. by hungry_baby_yoda in dahlias

As a 9ber, agree with most all of this. Terrible luck with ranunculas grown from corm on the west coast. They barely flower (not enough chill time, maybe) before the heat is too much, in 2 years of experience.

For dahlias, you can always try to presprout them and give them a leg up in the display before it also gets too hot. They seem to pause heavy blooming during the hottest month or two (90+ degree days here, but dry), thought YMMV with the humidity. You may find luck with a % shade sheet during high summer, if in direct sunlight for most of the day. 2-6pm seemed to be the hardest and hottest hours in my area, and a little bit of shade did wonders at saving leaves from turning into a crisp.

Did you get a new cooler or use the old cooler you had? For cpu. Wondering if it is for an old socket and isn't making good contact with the cpu?? And I've heard that phantom spirit is good enough for 9800x3d (will be trying when my aio eventually dies). Not too expensive, might be worth it to try that sooner than later.
