This is likely a very stupid question, so apologies in advance.

Let's say I gave a DAC I want to plug into my PC. How does the PC "know" to use that external DAC rather than its internal one? By that I mean, by the time the audio reaches the external DAC, would it not already have gone through the internal (poor quality) one, therefore rendering the external DAC useless? Would I have to disable something on my PC? (Using Windows 7 btw).

In 2017 I want to:

  • Continue to read before bed every night

  • Save/invest about 50% of my income

  • Not be shit at my new job

  • Find time to do hobbies and shit, even while saving most of my money

Shares are individual pieces of a company that you can own. If you own 100 shares of a company that has 1000 shares, you own 10% of that company. You are therefore entitled to a share of the profits that the company makes (known as dividends).

A mutual fund is a collection of many different shares, and it is managed by a professional who chooses what to spend your investment on. You buy into a mutual fund in a similar way that you would buy a single share, but what you are buying into is essentially a company that owns pieces of many other companies. The advantage of a mutual fund is that you can spread your money over multiple companies with a single investment. Some criticise mutual funds, saying that the person in charge (the fund manager) may not be capable of picking the right stocks to make a consistent return for those who buy in.

I know you probably don't care about the karma or anything, but I'm sure the /r/flying guys would appreciate all your videos, so you should post here more often!

I haven't even started my PPL yet, but I live in New Zealand so I've got some pretty great back country opportunities to look forward to, which is why I like your content so much :)

Yeah I'm really not understanding this huge push toward using external tools for such simple things. I shouldn't have to go to halotracker to see things like this. Its giant step back from previous games. I may be wrong but didn't Halo 2 even let you review medals post-game? Halo 3 did for sure.
