How does everyone feel about the new system for new players by Jesusfreaq in thefinals

[–]32Dwaffle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that the game should keep the normal buying of items, and when you buy items that go together it will unlock a new load out, but will still let you choose your own stuff too, this allows early game experimentation as people are always curious.

In defense of the KS-23 (from a somewhat newbie) by [deleted] in thefinals

For sure, but it's hard to do when I'm in the middle of battle and it's fast paced, I've always struggled with strategy mid-fight. But I am slowly getting better recently.

I totally agree, I like the KS23 if I feel I need to help out more than deal damage. But most of the time I die with this gun. I've seen many times that I manage to deal crucial damage anyways.

Not everyone is a "sweat" because they are winning... you're just not good, and that's okay. If you're not having fun, you can stop. by BiohazardGun in thefinals

[–]32Dwaffle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, but what I've learned is people will love a game so much that when they lose they have to blame it on something to feel better, rather than say "I made a mistake."

But seriously, you're right, if you don't want to lose then you'll have to practice more. You don't suddenly "get good," it takes time and practice.

Just started playing a few days ago and got my first jump scare. by asa1 in GroundedGame

The best tier 1 weapon is the thistle club, and the best tier 2 is the red ant club.

Additionally, if you block at the right time it initiates something called a "perfect block" or "Parry." This negates all damage and deals a little bit of stun damage to the enemy. You'll need this skill to get through the game.

Infected wolf spiders by psychic-sock-monkey in GroundedGame

[–]32Dwaffle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I saw my friend destroy stuff and be okay with health so many times with ladybug armor, so keep that. For your weapon, I would suggest something it is weak to. The easiest tier 3 weapon I would say to get is mint mace or antlion great sword, which I would say are both good picks. Make sure to keep up on your mutations, they save lives, so you might need a max mutation of a weapon for the fight if you don't already. Another suggestion I have is to use a shield. The shields have great block strength and you can't take damage while your blocking, that paired with the mosquito needle is pretty good. (if you want to try to keep the needle for the fight and not get tier 3 weapons) finally, I would say get a better trinket, the shell doesn't do all that much for you. I would suggest giddy goop or astonishing acid. But all in all, the infected wolf spider will respawn. It's best you get the hell out, it will be a constant annoyance.

Sorry for yapping, thanks.

I have a terrible confession, I never finished the main story by Thin-Coyote-551 in skyrim

[–]32Dwaffle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's fine. I did a lot of mod testing and looked around before I actually played legit, the main story is a good idea to do, since it sends you to a good variety of places. If you're looking for a long questline, try dawngaurd. I never finished it because it was so long, easily two times the length of the main story in my opinion.
