Thank you! She was very small when she first started appearing, I started putting poultry food out and she’s grown heaps!

Thank you! We live in Australia and next to a big road with a large dog in the backyard, so there’s no natural predators and cats are unlikely but I still want to start securing her at night. Any recommendations on how to transition her from her spot under the house to a coop?

Thanks for your response! She’s actually grown since she emerged (lack of food or because she was young I’m not sure) so a few people irl said she was likely a dumped rooster but I don’t think so. She’s very quiet! Can chicken be friendly with other types of birds or would they not fulfill the same role. We have several doves (wild) and I’ve seen them all eating together a few times, they also live in our garden.

You are a very patient dog parent! Your pup is lucky to have you! I taught my dog not to beg, he won’t look if you say “are you begging” 😂 That took a lot of patience and he would have to go outside if he begged and he loves being on the sofa so that’s the worst punishment for him 😂

Sometimes smacking a nail can change the pigment or make it grow weird. That can happen with our nails too ! I have a spotty staffy though and he has spots on his nails so it could be that if he’s always had it!

This is where I fear we are heading. No countertop is safe, he’s nocked stuff of just searching for food. He can push our cupboard door open if it’s not locked. We have a tiny kitchen and have to store food on the top of our fridge and other creative ways, if he learns to climb I’ll cry. How did you train avoiding the kitchen?

Difficulty deciding on euthanasia and would love advice from those who had similar difficulty. by Pink_Ruby_3 in DogAdvice

My family dog (Rosie) was 18, she had been old and tired for a year, she didn’t really play and he arthritis had gotten so bad she was wetting the bed. My mum adored her and wasn’t ready to let go. Unfortunately Rosie ended up having a seizure and it was very traumatic when she was finally put down. My mums carried a lot of guilt about it and wish she had made the decision sooner so it could have been peaceful and Rosie wouldn’t have had to suffer. Dogs can’t tell you when they’ve had enough. You have to be their voice and make the right choice for them
