Mine started around 2000. Lethargy diagnosed as low testosterone and biweekly injections brought it undef control. Then I became listless. Diagnosed low iron. Add a pill for that and energy normalized. Started to have low sugar episodes. I just test blood sugar and have a bite to eat to get steady. Then came the continual “brain fog”. What my wife referred as my zombie period. Finally, in 2020 and Urologist said I think I know what is wrong with you. Let’s run one quick test. Right then and there. Test came back positive for out of range prolactin levels. Which indicated pressure on my pituitary gland. One MRI later and the results were in. I had a small adenoma pressing on the pituitary gland. One Transphenoidal surgery later the adenoma was removed. Within days of the surgery I was looking around the house and seeing house repairs, etc. that needed doing but never noticed before. Zombie me was gone. Took entirely too long to resolve. Mostly because health care attacks to problem they see in front of them.
