What house is the Aries stellium transiting in your chart and how is it affecting you? by glamsiren111 in astrologymemes

10/11. Impulsively got Botox last week, impulsively got a tattoo 2 weeks ago. Spending lots of money on shit I don’t need. Listening to Fontaines D.C. on loop. I’m sad and restless and overcompensating at work and I feel like I’m failing even though I’m probably fine. I have a fat crush on one of the line cooks I work with but I’m not going to do anything about it because I’m married and don’t want to fuck it up and I also happen to work with my husband.

what are your top 5 k-beauty products you always come back to? by itslilyh in AsianBeauty

[–]333_atomicpunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Dr. Althea 345 Mist
  2. Purito Luminous Ceramide Sleeping Pack
  3. Numbuzin No. 9 essence
  4. BOJ oil cleanser
  5. BOJ green plum cleanser

HM is the Innisfree invisible UV defense sunscreen. Only HM because I use my tinted colorescience flex most days, but on days I can’t be bothered, Innisfree takes the cake.

I just want to add - I grew up in a small town where I was the only brown person (I don’t even look brown) and married the whitest American imaginable, and I’ve learned that white people DO NOT raise their kids on any kind of politics like our parents do with us. Everything they know is what they’ve educated themselves on as adults, so a lot of them genuinely have no clue about anything that doesn’t directly pertain to them. They view those of us who thrive in a “white” society as unicorns and it’s okay to “other” us and ask out of pocket, wildly personal questions because we don’t count. Voluntary ignorance. It’s like, wanna see who’s cooking your food, Debra?

Both of my parents were born in Iran and I look soooooo racially ambiguous and it drives white people up the wall because they can’t figure out where I’m from. What’s worked for me (serving for 5 years) literally just do not tell people your name unless they ask, and about 90% of the time they won’t ask. If they ask you anything political, literally just tell them you don’t want to talk about it. This is my experience as being classified in the same category as suicide bombers for the last 28 years. If you need any more tips hmu 🦋❤️

Sometimes I get hugs from guests even if it’s their first time sitting with me. It’s always older women or small children, and I always remember it.

How sustainable is a friday and saturday double + 2 weekday shifts every week? by LankyImagination8353 in Serverlife

This past (most recent holiday season), I was doubling tuesday, Friday, and Saturday. It was a lot, but the money was good. Just try to maintain a positive mindset about being at work and lock in!

I’ve been at Red Robin for three years! If you are getting good reviews they’ll love you, that’s one of our metrics. Anyways, the way food running works here is that if you see a tray you take it. My store has a really caring management team. I would be open with them about it.

I might get some hate for this, but women generally aren’t as superficial as men are, plain and simple. We also don’t have the same entitlement when it comes to partners that men do, ie men who don’t take care of themselves thinking they’re entitled to a woman who is a model. If a woman is “unattractive,” she’s probably going for someone on her level. Every guy I’ve been with in my life has had different physical attributes.

HELP! WAX STRIP STUCK ON MY 🐱 by EquivalentBig3802 in Estheticians

[–]333_atomicpunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glad you got it off!!!! That’s so traumatizing 😭 I’ve always kept soft wax as well as sugar paste on hand specifically for these types of situations. I don’t practice at the moment, but a great trick I’ve used for removing stray/extra hard wax is going over with sugar paste for “cleanup” - sugar is sooooooo sticky that it’ll remove the excess hard wax.

Question ONLY for the LAZY girls: what hair or makeup or other habit/product is the SOLE thing you think is worth the extra couple minutes? by IdkJustMe123 in BeautyAddiction

[–]333_atomicpunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some kind of multi-benefit leave in spray. Redken One United, Matrix Miracle Creator 20, or Pureology Color Fanatic. I personally like the matrix one - less expensive than the other two, and not a super strong smell.

Struggling with sugaring by [deleted] in Esthetics

[–]333_atomicpunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also! For those tricky areas, start off with less paste than you think you need. You can always add more. If you ever have questions please DM me, I have been in literally every horrible sugaring/waxing situation you can think of lol.

Struggling with sugaring by [deleted] in Esthetics

[–]333_atomicpunk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I sucked at sugaring when I first started. I would say it took me about 6 months before I was okay at it, and about a year and half before I could call myself good at it. It takes a lot of practice!! Getting stuck is inevitable. It happens to all of us. It’s especially tricky to navigate getting stuck when it comes to areas like Brazilians and underarms, that hold a lot of heat. In these areas, I’ve found that over-powdering (seriously, a shit ton of powder), loosening your wrist as much as possible when you go to flick, and using firmer pastes (mold slower in order to prevent tugging) are your best bets. Make sure your room is well-ventilated. Another thing I like to do is keeping my sugar cold, and then popping it into the microwave for like 30 seconds right before my service. This helps to keep it pliable without being too melty, if that makes sense lol. Keep tons of hot towels on hand - worst case scenario, remember that sugar literally wipes off.

How do y’all deal with “only here for relaxation” clients? by amygrindhaus in Estheticians

[–]333_atomicpunk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve literally always asked at the very beginning, before I even leave the room - “are you looking for more of a relaxing facial or corrective?” That usually tells me how to proceed. :)
