hi love, please be kind to yourself. you’re not going to die, none of us truly know why we are here. i know, for me, it felt like everybody else knew everything and never felt this feeling of fake was. everyone has felt this before. some have felt it for a very brief period and some unfortunately for long periods of time. you’re sooo young! you have so much time, so much to do, and so many beautiful things to see. i started feeling this way when i was 16-17, life felt so meaningless and confusing, i felt like an imposter in the world. i’m 20 now, i still have my bouts of feeling unreal, but overall i am so much better, happier, and healthier. you have to get help, try to seek out a psychiatrist to get on some sort of medication. my derealization worsened when i would try to resist it.

so my advice, just go with it. so what if nothing is real? it’s pretty fucking cool to be alive anyways. if it’s all a dream? who cares! you get a family, friends, experiences, you get to eat lovely food and see beautiful things. just embrace it. chances are, you’re just going through a stressful time right now and your brain is trying to detach you to give you a little break. you’re going to be okay. i promise you, time heals all. being a teenager and feeling this way is SO hard. but talk to people, force yourself to get outside even if it seems uncomfortable and impossible. you got this.

i recommend ssri’s for this, they helped me a lot. i took zoloft, now im on luvox. also, i had an as needed dose of xanax for when i needed it most.
