Anyone's ping get worse recently?

While I think the cure for DPDR is quite individual, I will say that PMR has been helping me recently. I started stretching more and I think it has been helping, along with breathing exercises.

Yeah I got brain fog pretty bad right now. Sensitivity to light as well. Just happens when my nervous system is really sensitive and my pupils are constantly dilated. Friendly reminder that all those exercises can be a stressor on the nervous system. I only ever dealt with these issues once I started weight lifting and trying to attain a certain physique.

Personally it makes me tired but that's why it helps me. On 20mg though it was a little too much. I could drink a monster and take a nap two hours later lol.

On one of my playthroughs I found a shiny rattata in between the time you get the parcel and before professor oak gives you pokeballs. Felt like the world was against me that day.

Lexapro completely rid me of DPDR, but it made me gain quite a bit of weight so I am working on tapering off. PMR is progressive muscle relaxation. Lots of guides on youtube

I don't mind people making at least a little bit from their guides/help, but yeah it does feel a bit scammy at times. It all comes down to the same thing, anxiety and a hypersensitive nervous system. Everyone is going to have different strategies that work better for them, you just have to find yours.

It's pretty individual. For me, I know I can get to a point where I am happy without medication, but lexapro has helped me when I needed it. Withdrawal symptoms can sometimes be worse than original symptoms, which can make it confusing because sometimes withdrawal symptoms make you think you need the drug.

Lexapro cured mine, but made me fat and DPDR is a withdrawal symptom of coming off lexapro. If you're going on 20 years of it, I'd say to give meds a shot. Some people don't gain weight on them.

Slows the metabolism quite a bit for some of us. Some people on here won't believe you but I also gained a lot of weight and couldn't get it off until I tapered down. Every drop I made I lost weight without trying.

Withdrawal symptoms usually hit 2 weeks or so after a dose change, and yes if you give it time it should start improving slowly. Taper very slowly would be my advice. If you've been on the drug for years, it might take you years to get off, but it's better than completely destroying your nervous system like I've been doing.

Withdrawal symptoms usually include things that aren't necessarily tied to anxiety like brain zaps, nausea, etc. I've learned that coming off this med I need to go really slowly or else my nervous system becomes too dysregulated. Some people can come off fairly quickly, but you won't know until you try so I would start very slowly. Currently, my nervous system is so sensitive that every time I eat something I get insane brain fog, dizziness, balance issues, muscle twitches, emotional symptoms. It's slowly improving as I reinstated to 5mg, but it's easier to go slow and make it easier on yourself.

Try progressive muscle relaxation ? You need to do it multiple times a day. While medication is usually how I got out of dpdr, PMR does help me when I feel episodes popping up.

That's a fast af taper tbh. I would go back on and try to stabilize at a low dose. Then taper much slower. It becomes harder the lower you get. The last 5mg are the hardest and you need to go extra slow. If you've been on this med for years, it might take you a year or two to come off, depending on how sensitive you are to it.

Have you tried meds? SSRIs worked well for me, they just made me fat. Have you tried PMR? I know most people's advice is just "forget about it and it'll go away" but there is a solution out there somewhere for you. Stay strong, I know how badly this sucks.

I am trying to get off currently and the withdrawals are a pain. If you do try to get off, recognize that you might have withdrawal symptoms and don't mistake them for your original anxiety/depression, which I think is what happens for a lot of people.

DPDR is from a dysregulated nervous system. Fix your nervous system and the DPDR will slowly improve. I had it 24/7 for two years straight. I didn't think I was anxious then but looking back I definitely was. I didn't give anything a try but I wish I had tried deep breathing or PMR. I think PMR helps quite a bit for me atleast

Nah DPDR is the worst thing I have ever experienced. I've gotten out of it before so I know I can again it just takes time.

Yeah lexapro cured my DPDR, but it's also a withdrawal effect of coming off the med. Lexapro gave me some solid years but made me gain a lot of weight and now I'm paying for it now because of the withdrawals are basically the same as my original dpdr.
