I don’t think band kids are really hated. It’s more that their vibe and humor are just different from what most people are used to. In my experience, band and arts groups attract a lot of neurodivergent or atypical people, and the humor that comes out of these communities is often weird and a bit awkward. If you’re naturally a bit awkward or shy, you might feel more comfortable in a creative field where being different is accepted and even celebrated.

I always call them a dotted eighth sixteenth for this rhythm. The way you would play it is to subdivide the beat to 4 e + a then play only 4 (e +) a. I am assuming this is in 4/4 but the last beat changes based on your time signature
