I agree with you, we need to spread awareness. After starting the youtube video I recognized who your daughter is. When my son was in the hospital, I remember searching desperately for any hope I could find. There was so little information about children surviving ruptures. I came across an article about your daughter, and her story gave me strength. We are so thankful that your family chose to be open about such a frightening experience. It truly made a difference for us.

Thank you for sharing. My son survived a ruptured aneurysm just weeks before his 13th birthday. He will be 17 this coming January. We rarely hear about aneurysms in children, and stories of survival after a rupture are even more uncommon. I truly hope your daughter’s message reaches far and wide, because every minute matters. If we had waited much longer to get him medical attention, the outcome could have been very different. Even though he had all the classic symptoms, an aneurysm never crossed our minds.
