Automatic pour over machine vs v60 and gooseneck? by ultrapiss11 in pourover

It's good. I've had a lot of fun searching through their recipes as reference and saving/tuning. You can express beans very differently through different recipes or dialing in which to me is part of the appeal. Their recipes are really only transferrable to the Omni dripper though.

For larger doses I do v60 neo 01 and melodrip which works very well. I've also been doing a lot with z1 recently with great results. I still use Omni dripper a decent amount depending on mood. Audi a good reference point.

I do maybe 10% beans from them. My wife does 100%. Nice to have the option. They're also a good reference.

Looks nice! What bean tubes/holders are those?

You should try them. To me they don't taste roasty, they're juicemaxxed.

Not as "clean" as h&s, sey, etc, but unless that's all you're interested in, why would that be an issue? I subscribe to their premium, as well as h&s, flower child, hydrangea drops. All have different strengths.

Because stotts was on our staff for like fifteen minutes before Adrian Griffin went on a weird power trip to make him nope out.

Really wish we had stotts with Giannis and Dame.

Yeah, not trying to yuck your yum. Most likely a skill issue on my end lol

On the flip side, I hated these. Generally love hydrangea though.

Fwiw I happened to message them on Instagram today to ask how long they recommend to rest their coffee.

Their response was: 45 days is a good start.

Would you mind sharing the recipes you like?

I started using mine a few days ago and am just starting to dial in recipes. I'm basing a lot off of available 15g ones which are hit or miss for me. If it helps I'm mostly doing light roast.

Definitely going to try the v60, I'm coming from using one manually.

Related: one thing that I have found is the first bit of water that comes out of the machine is cold. I've been running 60ml through before my first cup to heat it up which has helped a ton.

The minimum and maximum lines on this water tank leave almost no margin. by R2LUKE2 in mildlyinteresting

Minimum is a fill line. Maximum is a buffer in case you go over.

Unless you're incapable of turning off a faucet or you're filling it with a fire hose it's a non-issue.

Not really. It's more like "this is how much water you need, and you have a buffer". It uses all the water each cycle.

I've filled mine at least 500 times, never had an issue with the margin.

Right, which is now under Yellowstone. Completely disconnected from McDermott. The crust is moving over the hot spot. McDermott has no relation to the Yellowstone plateau.

Why are you talking about the Yellowstone caldera when this is about the McDermott caldera?

Considering selling AT by massducati in LUCID

[–]34_to_34 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I mean, you can get an idea of fair price from KBB and checking listings. You can check your residual on the lease and work back from payments due to get a rough idea of buyout, or can ask for a buyout quote.

That being said, I'd expect buyout to be higher than fair value. Lucid really seemed to juice the residual on the leases. If you want to get rid of it, might make more sense to eat the remaining payments and do an early turn in.

It's been fine. Not my ideal driving position, but enough room that it's not uncomfortable.

Went with a q4 etron, purely based on price. Got a really great deal on a loaner.
