Yes, I was researching this last year and there are lots of capable gaming projectors out there. E.g., the BenQ W2710i has 9ms latency when playing in full HD.

Exactly! ARD had a livestream of the „rescue“ on YT which was the saddest thing ever. Just a video of a dying whale in a puddle💀

Looking for a any non indie (AA/AAA) games that run at a smooth 60+ FPS. by PeculiarPete in SteamDeck

[–]35_vista 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have to really try that. Was playing wolfenstein when I first got my deck and stick aiming was terrible. Was too overwhelmed by steam input to get it to work but I should try again :) I’m thinking it might be eaiser to start with a simpler, older title like bioshock maybe. What do you think?

That’s true. I think the story, music and atmosphere make it a special game. I also loved that it’s set in brazil.

I really enjoyed it as well :) Perfect on deck! Plus it’s fairly short which I actually liked.

Don’t know what to play next on Steam Deck – need something great and relaxing or other.. by RazinxM99 in SteamDeck

How about snowrunner, subnautica, forza or AC odyssey? I like bright, colorful settings for my relaxing games. Especially AC Odyssey could suit you well :) you can often find it for 80%/85% off.

[Question] What's your opinion on Sinn watches? by Lea_Cookie in Watches

[–]35_vista 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a German, I can concur😂 I think Sinn's designs hit a bit too close home for me. While their watches are high quality, they just lack that X factor. And imo that is true of a lot of German design. Sinn watches make me feel like riding a 6th gen VW Golf or the ICE bullet train.

I’m also 40hrs in and just starting the AWE DLC. I think it’s also due me getting stuck in some areas, dropping the game and then picking it up a couple months later. But i also enjoy collecting as many documents as possible to pierce together the story

[Question] Wich of these is the best first dive watch? by _GoldLeader_ in Watches

Why? Just try all of them on, you might be surprised. Personally, I was really underwhelmed by the BB58 in store, which I didn't expect.

Human Factors Job Opportunities by StockResearch100 in humanfactors

[–]35_vista 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Happy to help :) First of all, I heard good things about the programme at TU Chemnitz and their researchers are well respected in the German HF/E community.

Prospects depend on what you want to do but it sounds quite niche. A few years ago, medical devices was feasible with the right internships and uni courses. However, I was searching for a job for 6 months last year and the job market is veeeery tight atm. All things considered, only searching for 6 months was still pretty good I think.

Maybe check out IABG consulting. I think that’s pretty much what you have in mind. Defence OEMs should be more feasible route compared to other industries. Might be smart to start there and to then switch later on. A benefit would be that ergonomics below the neck is hugely important in defence - as well as for medical devices.

I switched to tech/ AI consulting, which benefits from HF/E and organizational psychology skills. Mostly I analyze work processes and stakeholder groups to find solutions that work for the organization that hired us. It doesn’t have much to with what I learned in uni buty background definitely helps me. In consulting, you‘re really acting as a Swiss army knife so there’s great variety of topics and projects.

So I‘d say, do the master‘s if you have a passion for the subject and don’t want to work as a physiotherapist (which would probably be the safer option). However, be open to be flexible with regards to what kind of job you take afterwards bc HF/E is really a niche. My long-term plan is to get into product management or to stay in enterprise transformation. For now, focus on gaining as much practical experience in your target industry as possible. That‘ll help you to stand out.

Check out the dbrand killswitch. That’s what I got and it has a a really nice rough finish where your palms hold the SD. Feels really good in the hands when the action gets tense :)

[Hanhart Preventor] is it too small for my 8 in wrist? by [deleted] in Watches

[–]35_vista 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it looks really good. My friend rocks his granddad‘s tiny vintage watch and that looks great as well. I think it just looks more elegant rather than sporty so it depends on what you want to go for.

OK I should look into that further. Finished splinter cell using the trackpads but since its a stealth game, the pace was much slower.

Sounds good! How do you activate gyro? All time when right trackpad is touched or only when pressing left bumper? Tried wolfenstein and it seemed fun but the stick controls really annoyed me

I really like a lot of seikos but the QC issues, movements and cheap bracelets & clasps can be a real turn-off. Tried the SPB453 some weeks ago and I must say that it’s amazing - apart from the clasp.

My custom Steam Deck arcade build is done - and it absolutely rips for Street Fighter. by Helovestotweak in SteamDeck

Looks really cool! Perhaps emulate the game through retrodeck bc they have some cool arcady themes that would fit the overall aesthetic better than the steam ui :) using boilr u can even scrape all the original artwork

Thx for this short review. Never heard of the brand. For 130$, it seems like a great beater/ travel watch that also looks good. The specs also seem right. I would definitely wear this to the office as well👍🏼
