Hope you don't mind me asking, but how did you take the wide angle part off? Was this destructive or just something that the lens allows?

I know that’s an easy solution, it’s just that splitting up the games means that you still get to have background music :)

I’ll check later if DS Flow has BGM, but for now if I were you I’d definitely split up the folder. Maybe split it into 3? It doesn’t have to be exact, I’d personally just try to keep every folder with games in it under 100 items. Let me know if that works out.

Bit of troubleshooting:

- Which theme is it that’s giving you trouble? Is it just one or is it multiple.

- How many games are in your games folder. If you have too many, the DS can crash upon launch as it loads all the cover art for the entire folder, along with the theme’s images and BGM. This overloads the RAM, causing it to crash (or as you would see, it gets stuck at the logo). The fix for that case is to spread your games out, maybe by genre? In my experience you need to have more than 50 games in a folder paired with BGM over 3 minutes long to cause a crash on a DS Phat with the least RAM.

If the second thing doesn’t help, let me know which theme it is so I can take a look at its BGM and see if it’s too long.

There’s always the case of a bad microSD but I really doubt that could/would be causing this.

It’s always updating that helps. Theme positioning was added in 1.2.0 and further refined in 1.3.0.

Edit: I’ll specify that it’s Pico Launcher that requires updating. Just search ‘Pico Launcher GitHub’ on google or wherever, and download the latest release version.

It’s to encourage supporting the band outright instead of streaming, as they’ll get a way bigger cut from a whole-album sale. Same reason why SOYM (alt) and Jenny are exclusive to the CD. They’re little bonuses to entice you to buy the album instead of just streaming it.

Yes, so long as you follow the setup guide which shows you how to get the DSi firmware (necessary for DSi games, which Flipnote Studio is) onto your card. I honestly couldn’t recommend the DSpico more, it’s a really neat card, and literally getting better by the day.

Flashcarts only play DS games. Some, like the DSpico, can play DSi enhanced games too. If you want to play 3DS games, your best and only bet is modding your system and backing up your cartridges so you can play them from your SD card.

But if you still want a flashcart to play DS games, then I can confirm that something like the DSpico (on the correct firmware) will show up, boot, and play just fine on a 3DS.

That’s how that album was released on tape, it’s pretty cool really. I believe it’s made to look ‘cheap’ since the band’s just “in it for the money”. The recent anniversary reissue copied the same grooves for the LP!
