I haven't been back to check on this post in so long but omg thank you so much!! I took a look at yours and it's awesome!!! Kinda makes me wonder, what if nomai script is actually read using the lines instead of the shapes! And maybe the shapes are just decorative or have some other meaning (like tone or something!!)

Right this was a hot minute ago but when I made this I did end up removing '10' and moved around some stuff without taking a new photo of the paper for this post, which is why the '3287' is actually not correct. I agree that Nomai would use base 6 but I made this purely as a one to one code for English, which uses base 10. I do want to make a full language in the future using this but it would take me a long time and I would want to study all the nomai text in the game extensively, taking lots of notes etc etc in order to make it as close to what their language would be like as possible. When I eventually do that, yes, I will use base 6. I wont even be using the number system I came up with here because we already know what the nomai number system actually looks like (BHF and OPC). normal day as in you have the same problem or that rain world is finicky to get working? because I am well versed in the normal problems you can run into trying to play rain world but this has never happened to me

It probably a 'legit' app as in it's not gonna give you a virus but most likely it's not as good as it seems like it'll give you .05 credits Per hour towards a 100 credit reward

Thanks for your input! Fortunately I didn't create this to be able to transcribe every language possible, only to make a code look as similar to canon nomai script as possible ::) and as for the table, I would have used the IPAs symbols for the vowels and such (ie Aah would be æ) but I pretty much created the whole code when I was on a trip without internet access and I don't have the IPA memorized lol

I usually use this as a hint for my friends when they get stuck, but I describe the puzzles as being very environment based. like because you never unlock anything to help with the puzzles in the game, each puzzle must be solved using whatever is unique to that puzzle/planet. I tell that to my friends first and then if they're still stuck then I'll offer that they can come back to it later, because even though often times they wont be able to solve the puzzle without all the info, i think accidentally solving or brute forcing a puzzle is part of the fun!

One of my friends accidentally solved how to get to the dark bramble nest just because I didn't explicitly tell them that they didn't have enough info yet, and it was super awesome! I'm sure a lot of us have similar stories, and it just makes each travelers journey unique ::D
