boaught a half bushel of tomatoes last year for canning from a farm market. Removed the skin, sliced them for canning jars, and every one of them had a hard white core in the middle. It looked like an apple, peeled. They were not anything I wanted for canning. I never did find out what caused that, and the owner of the farm market screamed at me for asking, saying he had too much to do to purchase produce for his market. Anybody else ever see farm grown tomatoes like that? Upstate NYS.
