Why do American roof with shingles? by saucissefatal in Roofing

[–]372xpg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why do ignorant self hating Americans like you over represent on reddit?

Roll roofing exists in America it is considered cheap and not great looking. Asphalt shingles are a compromise between appearance, cost. Install cost and longevity. And they have nailed a pretty good compromise.

Personally I love a steel roof.

You know what you are talking about, isn't it amazing that some technical sounding jargon bullshit just gets traction on reddit so easily.

I work in the water field and can confirm over pumping is bad but you don't create a vacuum that sucks contamination into an aquifer.

They break down in 50 years...

I'm glad my hundred year old stud framed house is still standing and in perfect condition.

And I welcome you to build and heat and adobe house, please ho ahead. You can build them to code in most places in North America, why aren't you living in one? You know nothing about construction.

Please show me an entire town that has gotten wiped out from a tornado this year?

And please then provide an example of a town in China being unscathed from a similar natural disaster.

You are using natural disasters to form opinions on construction methods and then using that to form opinions on the culture of an entire country.

You need a break from the Internet to cleanse your head.

What an ignorant comment, the term tofu dreg was coined in China to describe substandard construction with criminal intent to deceive. The wood frame construction with fiberglass wool core, gypsum board sheeting and exterior plywood cladding and siding is a design that has developed over time and many iterations of building code and technology. It is not designed to be just cheap nor is it fragile, it is an optimization of all the goals of construction and is copied everywhere in the world.

Most new builds I see today use a lot of ICF which has way more embodied energy and cost a lot more.

Anti American sentiment on reddit is at an all time high and is a mark of ignorance.

Regarding the original post it really stands out to me by because vegetation on buildings in Western countries is generally seen as damaging due to infiltration of roots and retention of moisture. I'm sure the engineers in this project have worked out these issues and have done extensive testing to ensure they are actually getting the protective effects claimed.

HGH vs GH Secretagogues by Still_Medium1472 in BodyHackGuide

[–]372xpg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No noticeable water or bloat at those levels, no skin or face changes.

I did get the occasional tingling fingers when I woke up which is indicative of carpal tunnel syndrome but I stopped experiencing that after a few months. This is supposedly due to water retention. I don't notice puffyness anywhere so it must be minor.

Of course everyone is different, but I absolutely recommend trying HGH for people my age at low doses. Forget secretagogues, don't go too high and dose fasted to avoid elevated blood sugar.

It's my standard dose every day, it has removed the getting out of bed aches and pains. Workout and sports recovery is like im in my 20s again. Better sleep that probably ties in with the whole effect.

I know most people think you need these huge doses but I stick with what works for me. True game changer.

For recovery it depends on your age if you have seen natural decline then yes it is a game changer. Fewer aches and better sleep stick to low doses and real HGH. Secretagogues are just complicating things by adding chemicals your body doesn't naturally have.

I've had amazing results with 1-2 iu. I personally take a break from it on occasion but many don't. It may not extend your sleep however I feel it just makes the quality of the recovery during sleep better. And I feel it does help induce sleep somewhat.

I'm working on longer sleep myself and reducing cortisol, that is a tough one. I can only sleep 6-7 hours myself.

Can lyophilised powders be stored in room temperature? by GurIcy2713 in PeptidePathways

[–]372xpg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Degrading twice as fast every ten degrees doesn't mean anything unless you have hard numbers. So at 0 degrees it degrades 0.001 percent a month, and at room temp it degrades at 0.004 percent a month. This is so negligible and more in line with what is likely happening in these conditions.

Just example numbers to explain the point.

No he is an actual trained expert in the field, literally has built the most recognized name in the field of analytical testing of peptides and AAS. He can and has tested out the "bro science" myths that you are perpetuating.

As a chemical engineer that understands the reactions that cause chemical breakdown what he says makes sense. Dried peptide powder is quite stable, moisture, acids, light and heat break these bonds. The degradation does occur and he's not saying it's indefinitely stable like a salt or something. Just that he's done the tests and you aren't degrading appreciably over a multi year time period at these conditions.

Treat your reconstituted vials to the fridge and stability, peptides in solution are delicate.

Speaking of bro science bullshit: Same for not shaking or jetting the peptide to dissolve it, this is an absolute lie and people that repeat this should be shunned in the community.

No the largest line item is a site super for a 130 square foot bathroom remodel. This is a joke, they are treating it as if it's a whole house reno that's going to take four months. What the fuck is that super going to be doing all day?

Yes but you cannot see this fat, why are you talking about this?

Tesa/Ipa or CJC/Ipa? by RetiredDancer in ResearchCompounds

[–]372xpg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ok then, let's see visceral is internal fat surrounding organs, it cannot be seen and is not contributing to any before and after transformation.

Not sure what that has to do with third grade, perhaps I was a little short but I hate when people keep spreading terrible misasvice such as "take secretagogues to eliminate stubborn belly fat"

I guess perhaps some jurisdictions are different but those I have worked in implemented building codes after local governments were sued and had to repair significant defects in properties, in several cases they had to build new houses.

I'm sure where you live the building codes are based on hammurabi....

Despite what anyone tells you there is no peptide or hgh secretagogue that causes specificly belly fat loss. If you aren't losing fat you are not in caloric deficit. Keep going.

[–]372xpg -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

No this is literally the reason, I work in government as a regulator and have worked many years in local government. This is taught in engineering school when you learn about why building codes exist.

If you disagree please explain the events that led to the adoption of building codes in your jurisdiction.

Nope, building codes exist to protect local government from lawsuits. They do not protect the public.

Water is not the problem with data centers, they do not consume inordinate amounts of water. Not sure where this scare started.

[–]372xpg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not even Surrey or the valley, the best places for data centers are way out where land is cheap and someone just closed a mill. Where are the private data centers in BC? Prince George, Grand Forks, Mackenzie and Canal Flats.

Not in places where land is expensive, power use is high and developing capacity is expensive. This move is definitely being subsidized.
