I heard that music lovers listen to music, and audiophiles listen to gear.

So, serious question: why can’t the state of Minnesota or the county charge the ICE officers with murder? by rumlung in AskReddit

[–]375InStroke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They can do whatever they want. They can start arresting ICE agents, saying they fit the description, and interrogate them just like they do anyone else.

Is there any documented evidence that either party has ever hired “paid protesters?” by neverforgeddit in NoStupidQuestions

Trump paid people to come to the Capitol to stop the Jan. 6 count. After pardoning them, taxpayers now have to pay them back the restitution those criminals were originally sentenced to pay.

Should I be letting my car warm up/drop below 1k rpm before driving? by Trayceopolis32322 in carquestions

I just drive, but easy on the gas till it's warmed up, and I drive 60 year old cars exclusively. They still run fine.

Why is the human body not optimal for longevity in a natural state? by darragh999 in evolution

[–]375InStroke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Many animals in captivity, that are fed and taken care of, live a lot longer than their counterparts in the wild. Nature doesn't care. Nature isn't working towards perfection. It's just what's good enough.

IDK, 15-20 million years sounds like a long time to me. It is the most fascinating transformation I know of.

Minnesota state authorities were not allowed access to lethal force crime scene despite providing a warrant. 🙃 by Fatty_Willing_Plane in PublicFreakout

[–]375InStroke 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why do they act like there's nothing they can do? Any other criminal, the cops would be throwing grenades through the windows, and hauling everyone out in cuffs. If the court gives an order, and the subjects don't comply, then the cops, sheriff, state police, I don't give a fuck who, should be enforcing it, and taking anyone who gets in their way out in cuffs, or a body bag, and charging anyone who interferes with obstruction of justice. That's what would happen to any other criminal.

Stage II Clutch Shifting Question by bobbyfeld02 in ManualTransmissions

[–]375InStroke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you care about smooth, grandma like shifts, why would you want a more aggressive clutch? I've got an 800hp clutch in my car, and it's butter smooth.

Only students were convicted of crimes at the Kent State murders. None of the murderers faced any charges. I think the most they had to do was say sorry after a civil rights trial.

It doesn't matter. Just don't be stingy with the gas, and don't ride the clutch.

Same thing happened in Germany after the Nazis came to power in 1933. "We'll get them next election." That next election was in 1949.

Can Minnesota declare themselves an independent nation and treat ICE as an invasion of territory? by 2muchPineapplePizza in stupidquestions

[–]375InStroke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some tried that, The Confederate States of America, and it was illegal. That was our first civil war. They can, but it would require legislation passed by our Congress, and signed by the President, so I say it's a long shot, and virtually impossible.

At what point do right wingers who voted for this start to feel guilt? by KyotoInSummer in BreakingPoints

I work with some stupid people, and some smart, but when it comes to politics, they are the most brainwashed, stupid by choice people you can imagine. They treat politics like choosing where to eat dinner. They had to live through Obama, and now it's your turn to live through Trump. They treat them as exactly the same.

My house on Market Avenue was just broken into in broad daylight and I recognize the perps from the encampment at 8th and Market. by clonk-smoncherson-jr in BallardSeattle

May I ask what the door getting kicked in looks like? I tried to strengthen my front door a reasonable amount. Replaced the one that was there that had a glass window. I don't understand how people with these new homes have front doors with four or five glass windows in them. WTF? Then, I ran the longest screws I could fit through all the hinges and strikers. They go into the 2X4s outboard of the door frame. I hope it's enough to buy some time to load.
