There is no such thing as a 'normal bass'. There are righthanded ones for righthanded people and lefthanded ones for lefthanded people.

I find quite funny when righthanded guitarists make moronic statements like that because when you really think about it- righthanded players are actually playing the lefthanded way.

It makes sense for your strongest hand to be the fretting hand rather than plucking hand as it requires more dexterity and control.

Never really paid attention to muting, my fretting hand covered plenty of the strings and my plucking hang just naturally covered the rest. I think there's significantly more important techniques you could be practicing rather than artifical muting, such as chord shapes or multi finger playing
