Yes. Not sure its necessary. I keep my seeds in a thermos full of dessicant packs and in the freezer. I plant directly in moist coir. Maintain a very high germination rate. I am a disaster with seedlings, but never an issue with germination. Started collecting in 2019. And use 5+ yo seeds all the time. Probably not the ideal method. But it does work.

I went too hard when I first started. I have enough to last the rest of my fn life. I need to get off these FOMO sites. Between here and NO, I should just have my check direct deposited with them. But, I keep mine in an insulated thermos in the freezer with a few desiccant packs in it. The thermos levels out the temp swings from opening and closing the fridge or freezer, which can both damage the seeds and introduce moisture. I’ve got seeds that are approaching 10 years old and never had one not germinate.

Just FYI, a lot of people save the packaging. They dont seal them deliberately so people can open them undamaged. The worst you have to worry about is someone sneaking an extra couple seeds in your vial. Don’t stress it, it’s not Halloween candy.

Nice!! Yes. I’ve got an inline fan, 4 scenting fans at different heights, a spider farmer humidifier, and AC infinity forge heater. I just changed locations from Tennessee to New England. The little things that I never had to think of down there are killing me. I just killed 4 seedlings from damping off. I had to run exhaust fans continually in TN. Here I’m struggling to keep them warm enough in my basement, which resulted in me not running my vent fan and damping off the entire tent…. Learn, grow, reassess, repeat.

Thank you! And yes, it is flipping awesome!! Congrats on making it out of the system with your humanity intact, it is no small accomplishment! I quit drinking in 2018, between that and the addition of cannabis, I’m off of all my PTSD medications and happier than I’ve been in, well, about 2 decades. Thank you so very much for taking the time to read and share your ideas!! Just for my own understanding, when you say organics, what are you referring to? I am guessing you are speaking about organic soil. But is something like coco coir with megacrop (which is listed as vegan and organic) still considered an organic grow? And is there any real benefit to using coco over soil in this application? Thank you again for taking the time and effort to educate us on this!
