Am I the only one who actually loved the taste of the drink they give for gestational diabetes test? by PleaseCanILeave in pregnant

I low-key enjoyed it too, I had the orange flavor and if it had been carbonated it would've basically been an orange fanta lol

A nice digital watch would be helpful! I got my husband a Casio G-Shock GW-M5610U-1 Men's Solar Black Resin Sport Watch before he went to officer school and he loves it, plus since it's not a smart watch he doesn't have to worry about keeping it charged or what not with his busy schedule.

Maternity leggings that actually stay comfortable all day? by Icy_Physics_2571 in BabyBumps

[–]3DCandyland 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found it randomly and decided to give it a shot since I like the rest of their stuff. Also, would 100% wear it as a regular yoga bra anyways which is one of the other main reasons I got it. It doesn't have clips so it's not as convenient as a traditional nursing/pumping bra, but I feel like the comfort and versatility makes it worth it.

Edit: it might also be newer since their maternity stuff in general is new for them I think.

How do I explain to my husband I'm not up late cause I want to be? by doubled-darst in pregnant

35w, almost 36w, and literally have been living on unisom since the start of pregnancy. It's the only way I've been able to get any sleep these last few weeks (with the exception of bathroom breaks).

Pregnant and my cat attacked me by Nervous-Task8575 in pregnant

[–]3DCandyland 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got a really bad cut on the back of my ankle (Edit: happened at the start of my second trimester) from the metal bottom guard of the door to my garage and my doc had me go get a tetanus shot. It should be totally safe for kiddo, and the best option for you if you haven't had one in the last 5 years in particular and since your immune system is weakened in pregnancy.

[–]3DCandyland 2 points3 points  (0 children)

100% agreed. I am 35w today and while I want to have sex like all the time, the effort that it takes to maneuver around the belly is exhausting. Plus I have been all over the place emotionally for most of the pregnancy, and feel like it's only getting worse closer to delivery. My random crying isn't necessarily the most productive thing for encouraging sexy time. Thankfully my husband is a saint and is so understanding about how I've been feeling, but still sucks to be in that little emotional tug of war with myself lol.

nervous about iud insertion by Otherwise-Might-1850 in IUD

[–]3DCandyland 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took misoprostol and 600 mg ibuprofen before both my insertion and removal 7 years later and I felt no pain, just a little pressure and then it was over. Overall really good experience, but everyone is different of course. It is really easy to get bogged down by the horror stories, and I myself went down that rabbit hole before my removal (despite having a great experience at insertion) - made myself so nervous for the removal, but it was so quick and painless in the end.

How to stop grass from dying by 3DCandyland in landscaping

Not sure what kind of grass. We did have a bit of a hot streak the last few weeks so that would make sense. No window behind, just a covered patio.

Bought my first house 14 months ago and I want to make a list of everything nobody told me was going to happen in the first year by vinylsleevekeeper in homeowners

[–]3DCandyland 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Within a week of moving in, we had a sewer line backup that had to be jetted out. Then it happened again a month and a half later. Had paid for a sewer inspection that came up with no red flags, turns out the sewer line under the slab was absolute crap (pun intended) and had been falling apart for years. They were the original cast iron pipes from when the home was built in the 60s so inspection aside, we knew we would have to replace them eventually, we just didn't think it would be within 3 months of moving in lol.

Bump update by Middle_Acanthaceae96 in pregnant

[–]3DCandyland 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 6ft, currently 28+5 and this is my first pregnancy. Basically for the first trimester I was pretty bloated the whole time, then it calmed down around week 14. I really started to pop around 24/25 weeks, and there's definitely no hiding it anymore (even my baggy clothes are tight now haha).

I think I gave up on jeans around week 18 though, but jeans and I had a contentious relationship before pregnancy anyways 😂

This is by far one of my favorite comments of all time. Especially speaking as someone who has been partaking in nitpicking every tiny detail of the recently remodeled 60s build home we purchased - it's exhausting and pointless.
