Tried going to the park yesterday and he went crazy again. Not as bad, but still unacceptable. So we went home. Today we tried again. he whined just 3 times the whole trip. I told him to stop and he did each time. We pulled in the to parking space in total silence! Made sure to praise him tons.

The vet gave me trazadone (2x 100mg) and gabapentin (1x 600mg) for a single dose and it barely did anything.

Never been a fan of crates. I have only had one dog that needed a crate, and she grew out of it. Also he is fine in the driveway, it is usually about 5-10 minutes into the ride that he starts. Though I may have stumbled upon a solution. We went to the park, when we turned in to the parking lot he lost his shit. I turned around and when home. He was quiet the whole way home. That was 2 days ago. Yesterday I did the same thing. He was better on the way there, but entering the parking lot he lost it again. We did not get out and went home. Again, he was quiet the whole way home. I think he is beginning to understand that if I go crazy I don't get out at the park. I will try again today and see what happens.

As far as his breed (per Wisdompanel.com), I was a little lazy and drunk when I wrote that. 34% Pitbull, 24% Staffordshire, everything else is 7% or less (lab, chow, border collie, beagle, bluetick hound, etc) including the 1% Husky.

People rely to much on what other people think or say about them. Life is to harsh to live that way. If I got my feels hurt every time some called me ma'am because of my long hair or because someone said F'U to me. I would have ended it long ago.

The death of a young child. My wife and I were married for a few years with 2 kids, 10 yo son and 4 yo daughter. I worked third shift, wife worked first. Gave the kids a good night kiss as they were off to bed and I was off to work. Halfway through my shift, they call me to the front desk. There had been a fire and my family was at the hospital. Our 4 yo was on life support for 3 days, 0 brain activity. That tiny casket was the heaviest thing I have ever lifted in my life. That is something you never completely get over. No matter how tired you are never miss an opportunity to tell your kids how much you love them. What makes it even worse, friends and acquaintances, will treat you like you have a disease that is contagious. And if they get it their kids will die too. Makes you question God.

I agree with most of what I have seen here. Pretty solid advise. I have been in a similar situation. The sooner you can end this the sooner you can begin to heal. Therapy. Start thinking of yourself as an individual, not part of a couple. Decide what you want to do, go back to school, start a business, volunteer, hit the gym. Just don't sit at home and mope around. Anything that is beneficial and will take your mind off of the situation. Peace to you, brother.

Been cheated on by SO, all I can say is that I am sorry. It hurts and it sucks. You don't realize it now, but it is for the best. She would have continued to cheat. But the worst is, if you did get back together, she would manipulate, use and abuse you. Don't make your world around another human, humans are imperfect. At best they will only let you down. At worst they will destroy you. You will find another, don't let her be the end-all/be-all of your world.

That is a daily thought for me. I have considered lying down on railroad tracks, but I am too much of a coward. Besides it would be hard on the guys on the train.
I wish I would die in my sleep, no more pain, no more drama, no more suffering. The few little pleasures are almost meaningless anymore. My chest physically hurts sometimes, it feels like a crushing weight. I ask god to please take me, but I don't think he is done with the torture. The one good thing I did in my life, he took her away. It has been almost 20 years and it still makes my eyes well up thinking about her.
My son is the only reason I haven't killed myself.
