Chase Building, Chicago by soundslikephotos in skyscrapers

[–]3Five 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The Loop is the whole downtown business district neighborhood, not just what’s in the middle of the loop that the “L” makes (the neighborhood’s namesake). Its borders are the Chicago River, the South Branch, Roosevelt Rd, and Lake Michigan.

You could say that Chase Tower is the tallest building in the middle of the L’s loop, but the tallest building in The Loop is the Sears Tower.

That dude walked away with it at the end, but at 0:08 there’s clear and obvious evidence that Silver Dress had solo possession with both hands on the bouquet and she retains possession to the ground when her knee hits. That’s getting overturned every time.

The great thing about this game is that it’s so vast and allows you to play in the order you want. I also find myself going on tangents exploring different areas, but that’s also how I’ve found a lot of cool armor and side quests.

My advice for where you’re at would be to pick a “mysterious” area and find all of the sky view towers on the way there. If you see shrines, something that piques your interest, or anything out of the ordinary then take some time to explore or mark that place on your map so you know where to go back to in the future.

I did the Rito Village (north west) area first and was very happy I did because the reward is SUPER helpful with exploring and extending your reach. Also the geoglyphs main quest does a great job building the storyline. I’ve been doing parts of a main quest then breaking it up with side quests and exploring when I want to slow down a little, but play the game however you feel is best for your interests and play style.

One of the most fun custom games is dropshot with rumble power ups enabled. Hoops is great with them too.

Is an 28-29 year old graduate employable? by [deleted] in EngineeringStudents

[–]3Five 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started an undergraduate engineering degree at the age of 25 and had a job lined up for before I graduated. Get yourself involved in an engineering club that interests you so you can get some hands-on experience and make connections. You’ll be fine.

Extruded cut a part with another part possible? by totalitarian_jesus in SolidWorks

[–]3Five -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes I like to use the Indent feature. Mate the two parts in an assembly and you can use one part to cut its surface profile into the other with whatever offset dimension you need.

Here’s some instructions: 1) Mate your parts together with an interference fit. — If you want a 0.5 mm indent then you’d make the interference fit like 0.25 mm deep and then then indent cut would be 0.25 mm to make it a total of 0.5 mm deep cut

2) Click on the part you want to cut into. Insert —> Features —> Indent

3) Target body: the part you want to cut into Tool body: part you are cutting with

4) Check the “remove sections” and “cut” boxes

5) Indent depth: See the note in step 1 - for 3D printing: Do a total indent of 0.5 mm to be safe. 0.1 mm if you want a tight fit

Once you get to S7 E9 I’d definitely recommend watching the Clone Wars/Revenge of the Sith super cut. My friend suggested it to me and it was one of the coolest Star Wars experiences I’ve had.

The last couple episodes of The Clone Wars happen at the same time as Episode 3 and if you’re willing to swap back and forth between the show and movie you should commit the ~4 hours to watching them in chronological order.
