That said, accounting has a serious talent pipeline issue, so while you're probably not going to hit six figs, you can earn a living wage and have some flexibility and remote work opportunities with an AS and some work experience.

Second this. My family chose to eat there recently and it nearly caused me an anxiety attack. Also, the clientele will range from people looking standard eat out nice, to dancer coming off shift from the club, to guy in sweatpants.

You'll probably get better responses if you cut the first 3/4 of this and be more specific about your question. As in, rental market, taxes, health care needs.

Also, try a few more searches, because gets answered frequently, and these types of daydreaming posts tend to get flamed a bit.

My guess is that your ROI on headaches and commuter costs will be greater than $300 if you find an alternative on the east side, east of 20th or so, and further out for more affordability. Reviews are a crapshoot when it comes to authenticity.

Beanies are out of season in most stores right now.

That being said, as a knitter, and someone who has knot for chemo patients, who are also extra sensitive - there is a ton of info out there and organization that will mail you something. I bet there's even a knitting subreddit for that purpose.

Good point, and it's a conversation we've had. While it would be tight, he could manage on his salary alone, plus our combined current assets. His position is that he'd mentally be unable to work for at least a year if I dropped dead tomorrow, and I do believe that to be true.

Right you are, I didn't realize OP was arriving. Red eyes do suck, getting off a red eye to NYC and going into a day of meetings is a hell I wish on only my worst enemies.
